The receptionist was very helpful and polite. The room was clean. The only negative was the mattress being low quality and too soft.

The staff were lovely and made me feel very welcome. There is ample free parking on site and my room exceeded my expectation, with bottled water, biscuits and tea/coffee. A comfy double bed with a TV with a selection of movies on demand and a heating unit which I was very grateful for as it was Christmas. Overall, a lovely place to stay with good people all amongst Epping forest. Will definitely stay again when I am down that way. Thank you!

This is a perfect spot if you want to put your head down and switch off. Pros: - Quiet, clean rooms. - Great Indian Food served within hotel and also a cafe opposite thats open til around 3pm. Great value for money - Free Parking - Free Wifi - Quiet Location - No Fuss or Hassle - Great Value for money - Clean Spacious Bathroom - Staff Extremely helpful and respectful Cons: - No Phone Signal - Rooms will be booked quick as the price is great Overall, I would definately stay again. 100% recommend, dont listen to the bad reviews online.

Me and my partner have been visiting here since November 2024. It’s the only hotel we always choose to come back to. From service from the manager that always goes above and beyond for us to the house keeping and even the newly owned restaurant on site. I can’t praise the service enough. Although the hotel is quite out the way from anything it really is the perfect spot with everything you need on site. I’m not from around the area but me and my partner always choose to come back instead of other competitive hotels purely because of the welcoming staff and amenities. Really can’t recommend enough.

Surprisingly lovely for an overnight stay . The staff was very friendly . Very handy if you are visiting friends around Loughton area and miller and Carter restaurant is 5mins drive away. Thank you so much

Needs work The room smelt kind of swampy and the bed was uncomfortable. The shower head was also pointed across the room and couldn't be adjusted, so don't leave your socks on the side of the sink. The plug sockets weren't held on properly, and there wasn't any shower gel. Other than that, it was pretty dicey.

I felt incredibly unsafe. It was an emergency stay and it was like a horror movie. Giant spiders in the room. Freezing cold (April) but it was clean. I put my chair against the door but to be fair if you need a quick cheap stop its okay for the money. Telephone area dead spot by Miller and Carter. I was told to make my bed and tidy my room when I arrived Saturday night, no one around Sunday morning so I left the keys and bounced. The guys in the boxing gym next door are nice. Ideal for single guys whos car break down, or if you want to cycle in keeping forest...DO NOT take the missus there she will not be happy.

Last minute and late checking in at night Last minute booking and was easy to check in late at night , Its on a road that is busy so not very quiet but its not a problem, was clean and comfortable staff are very friendly and helpful definitely book again as convenient and value
