We stayed for 3 nights and had the most wonderful stay. The location is picturesque and the gardens are stunningly beautiful. Our room was lovely and refined and the staff were kind and welcoming. We had dinner here on our last night and wished we had done so earlier in our stay as well.

I can not recommend this wonderful hillside hideaway enough - it is quite simply magical and perfect. The windy off the beaten track road makes you feel like youve found a secret stay as you arrive The views from the gorgeous pool are not just what makes this place so wonderful - its the attention to detail and quality that has gone into the design and interiors; a balance of boutique hotel and staying at a friend's house that you envy! And the service is just that like staying at a friend's house, but a good friend so it doesn't matter if you sit in silence! I loved the warmth and hub of the kitchen which is the heart of Koppies and the amazing team feel like its a family kitchen where you hangout or pass through as needed. The food is homecooked and is delicious and wholesome. Combine all this with spectacular views and sunsets and you will not want to leave. I did not want to leave and wil definitely come back I just loved it!

7 koppies or 7 ways to love your life and how to enjoy the magnificent surroundings of Franschhoek... perched high on the hills with spectacular views all around, 7 koppies is not really an hotel but more an house created by exquisite friends to welcome other friends having taste for beautiful things. James and Marc, the talented and visionary owners, have created, when buying this farm, one of the most incredible house of the cape winlands. It's truly unique, charming, cozy... it's also so warm and incredibly well decorated and designed. Staying at 7 koppies and having the key of one of these beautiful suites is a true chance and we've been so lucky to discover recently this address which tends to become the one we lobe the most in franschhoek despite of an extensive choice of refined properties. Hard not to fall in love for the magic that this place distills to the very few guests, the wonderful gardens, the pool with dramatic views on the valley, the fire cracking on the fire place of the outdoor lounge for friendly gatherings with other guests, the lovely cat of the house coming to play with you... everything is reunited to create an atmosphere like nowhere else. And what a gorgeous surprise when opening the door of your own quarters... Each suite at 7 koppies is telling a story and has its own identity. Traveling with family last October, we stayed in Valley Suite and Courtyard Suite. Both were remarkably designed, both ultra comfy and pleasing and both with fantastic bathrooms. If one offers panoramic views and direct access to the pool, the other offers cozy privacy and a lovely terrace where to relax. James and Marc have created incredible living space adding a perfect sense for details and elegance for each suite. We all loved our suite and can't wait to discover more and especially Rockwood cottage, a detached suite with private pool which looks so special. 7 koppies is definitely a very inspirational place where you're so well treated by the most adorable staff ever making you so comfortable and more happy. Breakfasts are delicious and if you prefer to stay "home" for dinner, you can order very tasteful bobotie, lasagna or pie. A good reason to extend time in such a remarkable place. Very close to perfection but we regret that sauna and hot tub are at extra charge but we'll surely return because 7 koppies is, to our point of view, the best definition of terrestrial happiness...

This is honestly paradise in nature. The location, the views, the staff are so welcoming and accomdatiolng. We stayed 1 night in the valley suite. You honestly cannot comprehend how beautiful this place is a hidden gem. Beautifully decorated, the beds were super comfortable,the rooms are well appointed with enough privacy away from the other rooms and equipped with everytging you need to make your stay a memorable one. The gardens and views are breathtaking. Stunning pool in the front of the main building. We booked a private hot tub sessions with a lovely bottle of bubbles and a cheese platter. The tub was heated and ready on time and we watched the most amazing sunset from the roof top. I cannot praise 7 Koppies enough. A certain must say when you are in Franschhoek.

The most lovely hotel I have ever stayed. Each minute detail is sublime. Do not hesitate to book if they have availability. From the mysterious drive up the hill to the property to the incredible views and decor and lovely staff and the food - just delicious - I cannot recommend highly enough and only wish I were closer so that I could return soon!

We loved our 2 nights in the Rockwood Cottage which is a short drive up the hill from the 7 Koppies main guesthouse buildings and completely private. It is situated in a fynbos and lavender garden, beautifully furnished, with everything we could possibly need, in abundance, and is surrounded by an electric fence, to keep the baboons out. The outdoor area includes a fair-sized pool and tables with seating on virtually all sides of the house, to make outdoor gatherings pleasant regardless of any wind in the surrounding area. Delicious home-made meals were available to order for lunch and dinner, and we enjoyed the delivery thereof. Breakfasts were also interesting meals, available either in a basket delivered to Rockwood or in the diningroom of the guesthouse where we enjoyed meeting the other guests in the mornings. The staff we encountered were exceptionally hospitable, including Artwell and Ben who supplied the waitering and portering services, and the kitchen staff who cooked our delicious meals.

7 Koppies is a very warm and relaxing place to stay. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Kind hospitality The Rockway Cottage is wonderful. Stunning views. We will stay 4 nights next trip and enjoy the stunning sunsets and pool Michael Maloon

This place is a dream!! Left today and already looking forward to come back. We stayed at Rockwood cottage, a separate cottage 5 minutes walk from the main house. The cottage is beautifully decorated. The attention to details is extraordinary!! Many walk options are available on the 120+ hectares the property offers. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax. The highlight of this place is the staff, especially Artwell alias Ati who is dedicated, always smiling, pays attention to every little details and James alias Djamalo the gardener who is very passionate and speak with pride about his work. We are leaving this place with one wish: come back soon

The smallest details have been thoughtfully designed and curated to make one feel that you’re staying in a beautiful and special private home. The long pool and beautiful sauna added another layer of relaxation that we all needed! A place of magic!
