We completely enjoyed our stay. The owner and his wife were very helpful with information that made our stay more interesting. Breakfast was delicious. We ever had a chance to enjoy the beautiful pool. We would highly recommend Akay.

Great Stay Return after 8 years
Lovely hotel in tranquil and serene surroundings. This is a quaint and charming venue. It has a boho type vibe which we loved . We first stayed here 8 years and staying here again was as adorable if not more !
The rooms are clean and adequate, excellent touch to have fridge and air conditioning works very well . Showers are great , and balconies make a lovely addition .
Breakfasts are always fresh, healthy and adequate. The hosts will cook eggs to your liking, just ask . The home made jams are very tasty, my favourite was the orange!
The hosts are helpful and interested in making the stay comfortable and enjoyable . There is a personal touch and they will go out of their way to accommodate their guests.

Nel 2009, quindici anni fa, con la mia famiglia facemmo un bellissimo e lungo viaggio in Turchia in auto, dall'Italia. Ci avvalemmo di due guide, quella del Touring Club ed un'altra, della quale non ricordo il nome, redatta da esperti viaggiatori on the road. Al mare decidemmo di fermarci a Patara e di soggiornare nella pensione della famiglia Akay, che la guida "on the road" raccomandava vivamente, per la calda e speciale accoglienza della giovane famiglia Akay, davvero unica e speciale. Fu un soggiorno bellissimo, indimenticabile. Gli Akay sono unici, meravigliosi, spettacolari. Tu vivevi a casa loro, semplice e pulitissima, e cenavi con le adorabili pietanze che la signora Akay preparava con amore anche per la sua famiglia. Da allora gli Akay sono rimasti per sempre nel cuore e nei ricordi speciali della nostra famiglia. E Patara era un sogno, una lunghissima spiaggia sabbiosa, con dune bellissime, per raggiungere la quale si passava, esclusivanente a piedi, per il sito archeologico dell'antica Patara. Pazzesco! Dal villaggio alla spiaggia una passeggiata di circa 3 km su una strada sterrata in mezzo a rovine e tombe antiche. Ora, finalmente, siamo tornati lì. Stavolta solo mia moglie ed io. Mantenere le aspettative era dura, invece la famiglia Akay, Kazim e Ayse, è meravigliosa come allora, il cibo è buonissimo e casalingo come allora e l'hotel (ora è hotel) è sempre casa loro, pulita, calda e accogliente, rivvovata e viva. La spiaggia di Patara è sempre meravigliosa, lunghissima, con le sue alte dune. Consiglio di raggiungerla a piedi dalla strada panoramica sulla sinistra (rivolti al mare) del sito archeologico e nel ritorno, invece, di attraversare il sito archeologico, perché è la via più breve e non si paga l'ingresso (per il solo ritorno). Purtroppo ora ci si può andare anche in auto (sigh). Ma tutto vale veramente la pena.

Once again I’m back at this wonderful family run hotel in Patara. A warm welcome always awaits visitors, be they family, couple or solo travellers. Kazim and his wife Ay?e have recently added another floor to the accommodation with beautifully appointed rooms in a penthouse style the design of which is repeated in the rest of the rooms on the lower floors. A simple, but filling breakfast is served in the terrace dining area, tea and coffee are available from the servery self service all day, dinner is served in the evening, booking ahead is advised. Ay?e is in charge of the kitchen and her reputation is well know for good Turkish food, cooked fresh every day. Dinner is main course, chopped salad, bread and a sweet. Drinks of various brands are available. Patara is famous for its beach and ruins and Kazim happily advises you about places to visit, and will arrange airport transfers, taxis etc if needed. I’ve stayed here many times and will certainly be back again.
