Arrived soaking wet after a very rainy long-distance walk. We had a warm welcome, were given access to a drying room, and shown to a decent-sized warm, clean and comfortable bedroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, I would thoroughly recommend the place.

It is tricky to find stops at this point on St. Cuthbert's Way so we detoured into Jedburgh for one night. Allerton House is a beautiful, historic B&B-exceptionally clean and with modern facilities. Breakfast was outstanding re: quality and choices. She may not appreciate me saying so but the owner threw in a load of laundry for us (aforementioned walking creates laundry!) for a small fee:) Location is up a steep hill but very walkable to town-we spent the next morning exploring the Abbey, the Castle/Jail (interesting and free) and the Mary Queen of Scots house (also interesting and free!)

Very comfortable guest house . Large spacious room . Very clean . Very tasty Scottish breakfast but plenty of choice . Close to town centre

The proprietor’s greeting was welcoming, my room spacious and tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and a coffee maker; real coffee provided. The huge bathtub was a treat! Breakfast was good and served promptly. The staff happily provided me with sewing supplies to deal with my clothing malfunction quickly and graciously. I would happily stay there again.

Excellent accommodation only a short walk into Jedburgh. Rooms spacious as is the bathroom. Very welcoming hosts. Lovely breakfast. Clean and pristine.

Stayed at Allerton House whilst walking the St Cuthberts Way. Beautiful house and garden with a clean comfortable room and the comfiest beds...much needed after a long walk! The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast superb. I would highly recommend Allerton House if wanting to stay in Jedburgh

Lovely location.tidy room with coffee pod machine. Copious hot water. 10hours sleep so nice and quiet. Nice cooked brekkie with a lovely cafetiere of coffee taken outside to enjoy the view and listened to a total of 13 different birds. Marvellous relaxing start to a day.

One of the nicest B and B’s we have stayed in. Warm welcome from Nina and her staff. Beautiful,spotlessly clean bedrooms, with lovely touches like fresh flowers and chocolates. Excellent breakfast served by two super ladies,and great packed lunches for our walk along St Cuthbert’s Way.

Fantastic stay here, at the start and finish of walking the Borders Abbeys Way. A great, warm welcome from host Nina and her team. The house is very classy - I had a brilliant room (Ferniehirst) which was super comfy and had everything you could want right down to a fridge and a Tunnocks caramel log as snack! The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I got a great sleep. We appreciated that breakfast was served from 0730 so we could get on the trail as early as possible. Breakfast itself was lovely - I had the avocado and poached egg both times - there was a good choice of other things too and everything came quickly. It's a bit of a trek into town but only takes about 10 minutes and is quite a pretty walk in itself. All in all, completely faultless. An excellent guest house and thoroughly recommended.

What an absolutely fabulous B&B and if any of us are back that way, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Words can't do it justice: the rooms, the breakfast and the hosts just make for a perfect night. Huge thanks.
