John and Ruth made us very welcome and were clearly wanting us to make the most of our stay. There are fantastic views from the lodge and it is only a few minutes drive to the beach and restaurants. It was only a short drive to the Waitangi cultural centre so excellent location. We didn’t attempt the walk to the beach which would have entailed a bit of a climb on the return journey. We welcomed the opportunity to do some laundry and were grateful for those facilities.

Wow. How picturesque. The view was stunning. The bottom apartment has a balcony looking over Paihia. Accommodation was fantastic. Thanks to John. We were so lucky to have stayed and enjoyed the serenity. A 2 minute drive to beach and town/ferries to islands. The apartment has everything you need. Plenty of towels, beach towels and other essentials. You need more than 2 days here.

Excellent accommodation for a stay in Paihia. We stayed in the Cottage and we had everything we needed. Lovely deck with view over the bay, surrounded by bush and bird song. Easy walk to the town. John, our host, was full of good suggestions to see the sights and the trip by ferry to Urupukapuka Island with a spectacular walk to Urupukapuka Bay was a highlight followed by a stop off at Russell with a superb lunch at the Duke of Marlborough on the waterfront. Very comfortable beds, everything we needed to cater our own meals. Close to Waitangi Treaty Grounds and a short trip to Kerikeri for the Saturday market.
