Despite the non stopping rain for days and days, our stay in Amanta Beach was just perfect. Everything is as shown on the photos and written in the description and actually there is much more. Slightly out of the village, just right on the private beach, with a huge garden and a cute swimming pool, you will be offered very tasty breakfasts and dinners.. The rooms and the private gardens have everything you may need. And those stylish decorations! I need to mention also the very lovely staff who make you feel very welcome and still manage to give you the privacy you want in such a place. The spot is not the cheapest, but absolutely worth the value.

Absolute Paradise. Anne and Tharuka and their gorgeous team have created a truly unforgettable experience. The rooms are a classy and clever fusion of French and Sri Lankan styling, spacious and comfortable, and each one feels like the special suite. Personal courtyards with outdoor showers are an added treat. The bespoke styling continues through reception (with its lily pond, the courtyard. The grounds and garden and the elevated restaurant. Natural material is used to magnificent effect (cinammon stick windows anyone?), and where not available you may find the wing of an old MIG fighter jet as a bar. The friendliness, kindness and super service is on tap without being at all ostentatious. It’s personal, and you feel like their special guest. Then the food. Created by Tharuka it’s inventive, creative and tasty. Each meal a little journey, and each course introduced and explained. Then the beach. Not an afterthought, a wonderful eye rubbing delight. This place is located on an empty expanse of stunning coastline neighbouring a little fishing community. You can see for miles and miles, but only sand, sea, palms and the odd cow. It’s breathtaking and impossible not to relax and soak it all in. Throw in some super friendly pets, utter charm and incredible genuine hospitality and we have reluctantly moved on from an unmissable and unforgettable stay on an already magical family trip.

I fail to understand how people could not fall in love with this beautiful (understatement) hotel. I was skeptical having read some of the bad reviews, but the surprise was all the better!! Indeed it is not a ′resort’ in the sense : you don’t have to queue with 50 people for a tasteless buffet and you don’t have to fight in the early morning for a spot at the pool. What it is: an absolutely charming hotel at the beach. With a private beach (no crowd at all, gorgeous place at the Ocean), you can read on a hamac in the shadow, and meals are delicious and typical and served in the exquisite restaurant. And the room with small private pool and mini garden is so relaxing. Incredible this has been all built from scratch by a couple, respect! Thanks Sakti and team also for the excellent service and kindness. A fantastic place!!!!!

Wir waren mit drei Personen zwei N?chte hier und hatten zwei ger?umige und saubere Zimmer mit Klimaanlage. Die Unterkünfte befinden sich in einem gro?en Garten, der direkt an den wundersch?nen Strand grenzt. Leider befinden sich die Unterkünfte alle im hinteren Bereich des Grundstücks, so dass es keinen Meerblick gibt. Generell hatten die Zimmer keinen sch?nen Ausblick, sondern nur die Sicht in den einen kleinen zugebauten Au?enbereich. Auch der Pool ist sehr klein und nicht so sch?n angelegt. Da h?tte man sicherlich mehr daraus machen k?nnen. Das Essen war au?ergew?hnlich. Der Koch ist richtig gut ausgebildet und hat nach eigenen Angaben einige Jahre als Koch in Dubai gearbeitet. Man merkt ihm die Leidenschaft für's Kochen an :) Allerdings waren die einzelnen Portionen recht klein und für unser Empfinden ziemlich teuer. Wir haben an zwei Tagen 180 Euro bezahlt und das ohne besondere Zusatzausgaben. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Regarding the price of our dinner, it is important for us to point out that we grow our own vegetables and fruits, that we pay decent salaries to each of our employees, and that each recipe is carefully studied by myself and my entire team. Concerning the quantity, the 4 dishes served are generally very popular and are sufficient in quantity. We note your regret on this subject. is this a 5 star hotel? No, because the atmosphere is as family-friendly as if it were not a hotel but a home! are there attractions for children? There is no, but our children felt great here and were very happy. We had a great rest and ate delicious, healthy and natural food from the hotel's private garden. The buildings are very aesthetic, comfortable and have a great atmosphere. We are very pleased, we would like to always be pleasantly surprised after our holiday stay. We would like to come back here someday. The hotel owner helped us organize the rest of our adventure in Sri Lanka. Thank you very much Tharuka and all the staff!!!

Fantastic place with fantastic staff. They made us very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. They have a beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach with good food. The young lady who cleaned the room insisted in carrying our bags and even part of our bicycle, she is extremely strong for her size.

This is paradise at it’s finest. 5 years ago we stayed at Amanta Beach and it was so nice that we had to come back. After 5 years everything is even more perfect then it already was! The resort has beautifully decorated rooms with a cozy private garden. Even a pool if you choose the bigger family rooms. After a tiny walk through a magnificent garden you are straight at the beach. The restaurant offers an excellent breakfast, lunch and a fine dining concept of 4 courses in de evening. All very delicious. The staff and owner makes you feel right at home, doing what ever they can to make for stay perfect. We are definitely coming back again and I miss it already.

A couple of days to relax and unwind in this lovely, peaceful place. Only a few rooms, which means not many guests, and a beautiful beach with fishermen on one side and a deserted bay on the right. Lovely, friendly staff, not to mention an incredibly creative chef/owner, who looked after us well.

Amanta beach resort is an amazing resort to visit our two days visit were unforgettable owner Mr Tharuke and his manager all the staff treat us as a vips . They arranged us a seafood BBQ so magical and taste so good . Thanks for your hospitality and warm welcome
