Although we did not stay at the apartment we were told they were nice inside. There is a little beach down the road and the views of the sea amazing.The pool area was clean along with the pool toilets . Plenty of sun beds with parasols. The pool bar opened at 12 with a good menu choice. Food was lovely and a nice friendly couple running it. There is noise from aircraft but literally 1 plane an hour and lasts seconds, this stops at around 10 pm and then starts at around 8:30am . There are bars and restaurants dotted around and you could catch a bus up to some and then walk back as an option. We stayed 1 k away and walked here every day as our pool and pool bar was not the best. I would consider staying here if we visited the area again . If you look on google maps there is a choice of restaurants in the village . This is also a good base to travel the island the bus is 2€ anywhere and taxi is 20€ the airport is 5 minutes. Car hire available from village and boat hire from the little marina close to the hotel. We hired a car and traveled to Portos where we picked up a boat trip .we purchased this from the Portos village we had 2 stops in Ithaca and 2 swim stops views amazing. I would recommend this place

Loved this hotel, staff are all welcoming and lovely. Great food from the pool bar George and Issabella are lovely people. Fondant at OMilos is a brilliant guy. Cleaning staff always happy and friendly. You wouldn't want more. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

We booked our holiday last minute and we were not disappointed with this lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable, rooms could possibly be updated but very clean and beds lovely and comfortable so that didn’t matter. Pool area never overly busy, no shortage of sunbeds and again very clean. Isabella and George who run the pool bar were fabulous. Couldn’t do enough for the guests. Isabella’s homemade pizzas were very tasty and consumed daily by guests. I would highly recommend this hotel/apartments. Very close to the airport so 10min transfer. Planes were loud but didn’t really bother us. Close to some lovely restaurants and only a short drive to Argastoli which had great shops and restaurants. Overall a great place to go ??

Taxi from here to the capitol Argostoli or Lassi is €20 , 1 taxi told me €40 .. that's a rip off don't let them charge you more , I used this taxi driver to go to Argostoli and rang him to pick me up and only ever charge €20 as it's a fixed price , great friendly service ??????

Run by two lovely brothers who are passionate about the expectations of their guests. We had 2 fantastic wèeks here, and it was so relaxing. All the other reviews tell the same story. Close to the airport and for a plane spotter like me it was great. Lovely people lovely food. Shops a little bit further away but had everything you need. The little beach at the bottom of the runway was super. A quiet resort where people come back year on year. What more do you need! George I will miss our technical conversations! Would I go back? Yes I would.

The only thing you could do to improve this hotel would be to put a toaster in the room ... I would not use it but I heard others say they would. The rooms are a bit dated but that really doesn't matter, Lovely hotel set in lovely grounds the whole place is spotless clean, the rooms are a very big size with plenty of space to put your clothes away, the pool is awesome and warm, yes your in the flight path but that really doesn't matter as they stop around 10pm ,the restaurant they own next door does a cracking trade and that is simply because the food is delicious and reasonable, the matradee ( head server) is a real character and excellent in customer service The maid does a fantastic job each day in our room and it is spotless clean once she has finished The hotel bar ran by Isabel and George are a super team and are very hospitable and know how to look after the customer, the food they serve is awesome and the home maid pizza are probably the best I have every eaten and I have ate a lot ?? Would I go back absolutely... 100 % If you need a taxi into Argostoli the number here is for George who want let you down and honest **************** it's a €20 trip there ... Goes up to max €40 after 10 pm Here's to all at Ammes Hotel & Restaurant Staff . Thank you & Yammas...

Had the most amazing weeks stay, Isobel & George are amazing hosts lovely people. Isobel makes the most fantastic chips, pizza, toasties and baked baguettes. We ate at the pool bar most days. Good choice of restaurants nearby for evening meal, we did enjoy them all especially Fish Cat. Our room was spacious and very clean cant fault or give a negative about our stay. As for rooms being dated maybe they're but we like the Greek charm ???? All the staff at Ammes are extremely cheerful and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

What can I say- everyone here always makes us so welcome when we come- George and Isabella at the bar- Fondas at the restaurant next door- Anna ? on reception- even the room cleaners. Yes the apartments may be basic but very clean and comfy beds. The pool is cleaned every night- plenty of sunbeds- always quiet and relaxing. We can't wait to come back every time we leave!!

Lovely comfy beds, air conditioning and balcony. Situated within walking distance of brilliant tavernas and restaurants. The Ammes beach itself is unfortunately diminishing with every storm, so not the perfect place it once was, but there are beautiful nearby beaches if you have a car. The highlight of the hotel is without doubt the pool bar and pool. The bar is run by Isobella and George who give 110 percent! The food is freshly cooked, (pizzas the best anywhere!) A popular meeting place for returning residents like us.

Very dark room 106. It had single beds so they pushed them together after we requested another room they said they were full. The shower was grimey, shower curtain too small grouting and seels were disgusting. The whole room needs repainting and upgrading. No plug so the sink couldn't be used in the kitchenette,no tea towel. Outside area was just OK. The bar staff were nice and Anna in reception was good to talk to. Although cannot recommend the provided continental breakfast,it was very meager.The sun beds were dirty and old. Cracks and holes in tiles around the pool. All in all not a good stay.
