Comfortable and close to downtown. Even though some reviews and the map say there is breakfast; there is none.

So sorry you were confused by older reviews (prior to two years ago). We made the hard decision to discontinue serving breakfast two years ago due to the economics of the business. Keep in mind that the reviews do not belong to Arden Forest Inn and we cannot remove them. The reviews are the property of online booking agents. When making reservations with any, and it’s advisable to look at the dates of the reviews. In any case we do, hope you enjoyed your visit here other than the lack of breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay and wish it had been longer. Very quiet, comfortable room close to OSF and downtown.

The pool was great and it was great fun when the wild deer visited the back garden early in the morning.

Nice place to stay close to downtown and theaters They no longer serve breakfast, but the hospitality was great, bed was very comfortable, and nice outdoor seating in a garden area where we were visited by deer. It is in easy walking distance of downtown with excellent restaurants and the Shakespeare Festival theaters.

Nice location Nice location. The property could use some work . The garden was overgrown and uninviting. The room was comfortable and clean

We are sorry you didn’t appreciate the garden for what it is. Our approach has always been native plantings that receive themselves. This time of the year many of plants are allowed to go to seed. In our climate, it is a better approach.. As the season cools down will be beginning to cut and thin plants back using the cuttings for mulch. In any case we of course, want our guests to be happy and enjoy themselves and to that point we are sorry that you are less than satisfied.

We enjoyed our conversations with the innkeepers: William and Corbet. The property is dated; therefore, difficult to work on computers while in the room. The garden is lovely and attracts wildlife that was fun to watch.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Sorry you felt the end is dated. Our environment has always been tailored for travelers going to theater. Consequently, we wouldn’t be the first choice for business travelers it even though there are desks and all the rooms with power stations, data ports and high-speed Wi-Fi.

Spent a week at the Arden Forest Inn going to OSF performances. There is a nice Guest kitchen easy to access that is kept stocked w Kcups and a large frig where you can store your own milk and breakfast items. Our private patio made our stay wonderfully cozy. Pool was clean and refreshing. Very nice bed. We’ll be back.

An idyllic oasis, walkable to everything yet so peaceful within the privacy of the fenced property. Beautiful gardens, a pool and a cat- doesn’t get any better.

Sadly, It’s gone downhill… While past guests have enjoyed it, the owners seem to have run out of energy. We learned that they no longer serve the breakfasts that drew praise in the past. There are now only three rooms, which are “fine” but nothing special. The garden in back is lovely, but there are only hard metal chairs with no cushions and no lounge chairs at all. It is very convenient if you are walking to downtown or the Shakespeare Festival, but that’s the best I can say about it.
