Tony owner was amazing trying to find him at 9pm in darkness no signal rang him no problem got us on right track I jokingly said get a pan chips on and this brilliant guy did rooms verycomfy and spacious views amazing breakfast beautifully cooked all staff brilliant will return again and thanx again for chips

We are staying in a cottage in Glaisdale and decided to have our evening meal here. We didn't know what to expect after reading some of the reviews but we're sp glad we went. The landlady was so nice to us, especially to our little nervous dachshund. Brought her biscuits. The food was fantastic. I had the lamb shank, and my husband had the steak pie. The lamb melted in your mouth. We shared a sticky toffee pudding after. Sublime! Portions are really good. Good value. We'll definitely be back. Thank you ??

Great service - very welcoming! Travelling ladies cricket team playing at Glaisdale.. we arrived in high spirits & on mass after our afternoon game in time to watch the Lionesses kick their way to their Euro 2025 victory ?? The Sunday dinner was excellent - great portion size & delicious - served quickly & was piping hot with plenty of veg! Staff were courteous & helpful - thank you for having us!

This is a traditional B&B with some great extra services; dinner and bar. For tired walkers, a pint and a meal on arrival is the greatest thing. The host obliged with smiles and a great positive attitude. Not a big selection of dishes but well made. The room was maybe not the most fancy but spacious and with everything needed. Same for the bath and all was clean. The WIFI was quite erratic but that is not unusual in the area. We left with a smile and recommendations.

Basic but brilliant- if it had been pouring down, windy and grim I cannot think of a better place to take shelter in. Tony is a wonderful host, even contributing to our charity effort. The bike storage is great, the shower water hot and the beer selection excellent.

I arrived here after a pretty punishing bike ride from Scarborough. Tony and Yvonne are great hosts. They locked my bike away, made me a special Sunday roast (I arrived late Sunday afternoon) which is one of the best - and largest - I ever ate. The room was comfortable, and the station was 150m of gentle downhill to one of the most scenic railway trips, the Esk Valley railway.

Had Sunday lunch and wow it was well worth it, the gravy alone was worth the trip. The staff are excellent, the landlady couldn't be more helpful and welcoming, well worth the trip. The pub is great for walkers wanting a bite to eat once they have explored the moors

Within minutes of arriving I felt as if this B&B should be my local pub. Lovely welcome and nothing was too much bother. Bedroom view over Yorkshire Moors was exactly what I wanted. So peaceful, yet the railway station is 100 yards away, as is the must see Romantic Bridge. Food portions are huge,and delicious. Clean and comfy room. I'm definitely returning. Thanks to all the staff for everything. Even the packed lunch for my early start wasn't a problem and left outside my door. See you next year.

I don't believe reviews at all, the food is average at best, the Pub interior is a little better than a junk shop, the room at ￡100 is double what it aught to be. What view over the Moors? My view was over a flat roof covered in piles of rubbish and scrap chairs. I would not stay there again if I was paid to.

The rooms are a tad basic but clean and very comfortable. They were also made available to us ahead of the check-in time which was appreciated. The hard-working landlady was doing everything she could do to keep guests happy including helping with us with bags to our rooms and giving us some snacks so we could make an early start the next morning. We had an excellent dinner in the evening in the nice spacious dining room.
