??Come as a stranger, leave as friend?? the motto of Arne’s place and what a reality … We went on a Sri Lankan road trip with some cousins (we were 5) and were supposed to stay in Abay for 2 days. We were so good there that we extended for three additional days ?? 4 local brothers bring this place to life with perfect complementarity, everyone more kind and welcoming than the other. They will be able to offer you multiple services with an eye for detail always present : room, food, laundry, surf, safari, laugh … ?? and maybe more to come ?????? The place with this direct view on the beach and the ocean is really incredible, you could stay admiring for hours ?? Only one feeling at the end : why do we have to leave such a place and such peoples ? Hope to see you soon again (in France or in Abay) Take care bros ???? Théo

Arnes Place liegt 10m vom Strand entfernt in einer kleinen Nebengasse von der Hauptstra?e abgehend. Wir haben 5 Tage zu viert in der Villa 2 geschlafen. Die Zimmer sind schlicht, sauber und das Bad ist sehr gro?zügig. Neben der Terrasse vor den jeweiligen kleinen Cottages bietet der Garten viele Sitz- und Chillm?glichkeiten. Was den Aufenthalt hier so besonders macht sind die Gastgeber. Muba, seine Familie und alle Angestellten, sind so unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit, dass wir uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt haben. Besonders waren auch die Surfstunden, die Mahir uns gegeben hat. Auch den kleinen Ausflug am Abend zum Elephantrock mit dem TukTuk haben wir sehr genossen. Das Motto come as a stranger leave as a friend ist genau das, was Arnes Place so besonders macht.

Very nice stay at Arne’s place! We rented a villa for 4 people (2 king beds, 1 simple bed and a big bathroom). Close to the water and the main road and shops of Arugam. Hassan and Haleem were very helpful and made our stay very comfortable. You need to book a safari with them, Hassan took care of everything it was an unforgettable day: we got to see leopards and elephants in Kumana National Park!!

We were three girls from Denmark who originally booked two nights but just had to stay two more, because it was so lovely. The owners of the hostel were incredibly sweet and very helpful. We totally recommend Arnie’s place to all who wants to have a nice and fun stay in Arugam. Also very delicious food they serve :)
