"We had a fantastic weekend at Ascot House. From the moment we arrived, the 'Big Welcome' we’d heard about was 100% genuine. The staff truly make you feel like a guest in a home rather than just a room number. Our room was clean and retained all that lovely Victorian character, and the freshly cooked Yorkshire breakfast was the perfect fuel for a day of exploring. It’s rare to find a place that balances professional service with such a warm, family-run feel. We’ll definitely be back!"

My mum and I have been staying at this wonderful hotel on an annual basis for several years. It's perfect in every way. Beautiful clean, comfortable rooms; fantastic breakfasts; absolutely lovely family and staff who work there. Can't recommend it strongly enough! It's really close to fantastic restaurants and the town centre. Lesley Haslam

We stayed here last night. Probably one of the best hotels we have stayed. Really clean, room had everything we needed. We stayed in the loft room. Had a lovely sleep. Breakfast was amazing everything cooked fresh. Waitress was lovely we were so looked after. Will definitely return.

Didn't spend much time indoors. Beautiful place and very comfortable room. Struggled a bit with plugs for charging phones and ironing, but eventually managed. The only frustrating part is coming in and out of the premises, especially during the day. It was much easier in the evenings as there's always a security at the gate.

This is truly a little gem of a place. I stayed over the Christmas period. For a 3 Star Hotel it was perfect. I found the staff to be very friendly and always present but not in your way either. There is a very chilled, relax, feel / vibe to Ascott Inn ( but if you need anything – just ask ) and was just what I was looking for. I used my room as basically a bed to sleep in as I was out and about from early hours to late at night. The 24 hour guard service made me feel very secure. The location is perfect as you feel “out in the bush” – nice and quiet but you are a few minutes drive to one of the Main highways or roads to any destination that you are wanting. The food was tasty for breakfast and dinner. The room cleaning service was immaculate. Would I stay again, in a heartbeat. Would I recommend, Yes I would.

Ascot Inn has beautiful gardens to relax and walk about in. The pool is beautiful and the service is excellent. I highly recommend it.

My group of 5 people booked 3 rooms for 3 nights in December 2025. We looked at lots of different options in Harrogate and chose Ascot House for the location, comfort and also from a personal recommendation. It was the perfect choice and we were delighted with the warm welcome from Daniel and the delicious breakfast menu that catered to everyone’s tastes and preferences. We slept well and found the rooms to be quiet and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk into the town centre and to the train station for trips to York and Knaresborough. The 36 bus is perfect for a trip to Leeds city centre. We will definitely return when in Harrogate and choose AH over a hotel chain for a better experience.

What a gem Ascot house is .This is our second visit to this wonderful building .Such friendly staff.excellent breakfast.(well done chef.) This unique house is run so efficiently,it is our pleasure to stay there,and we will be returning next year .As soon as you step in you notice the features and cleanliness of this magnificent house .You are greeted at reception by wonderful staff always smiling and so helpful with Harrogate knowledge.well done to all staff.You definitely are a credit to the owner.A big mention to the cleaners ,the rooms are immaculate.Well done ascot house .Fabulous stay yet again.Tanya&david ??
