The hotel is basically OK. There's no swimming pool but we didn't expect one. The staff are friendly and polite. However, we had to request clean sheets, which weren't provided over the 7 days ! We had several other minor gripes which were sorted eventually but it left us feeling that if you complain then you are seen as the problem.

Bellissimo hotel sul mare a due passi dal centro di Lixouri. Camere nuove, moderne e pulite. Colazione sia dolce, sia salata, tutto preparato al momento dalla bravissima Marina. Ogni giorno c'era una frittata tipica greca e un altro piatto salato diverso. Torte fatte in casa, ogni volta una torta diversa. Yogurt con frutta e miele, biscotti tipici e, su richiesta, anche uova strapazzate e bacon. I titolari gentilissimi e sempre presenti; un grazie particolare a Dimitri che si è dimostrato attento e che parla un ottimo italiano. Noi abbiamo scelto Lixouri come punto d'appoggio per girare tutta l'isola in macchina. Comodissimo il traghetto Lixouri/Argostoli che parte e arriva ogni mezz'ora.

Nice hotel, very clean and with a very comfortable bed. Loved the pillows too! A variety of breakfast foods with a different savoury pastry option every morning, with friendly and attentive service. A mini supermarket nearby.

The breakfast was outstanding, with great omelets, home-baked cakes such as orange cake, and some of the best spanakopita I've tasted. Anastasia was a warm and responsive host. She upgraded our room to a larger suite as she felt bad that we had missed one night due to a missed connection. She was also helpful in arranging transportation for us to tour the island during our brief stay. The room we had was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. On the down side, the shower was a little difficult to negotiate given the sloped ceiling on the third floor and my husband's 6 foot 2-inch stature. Also, there is really no place at the hotel/boutique inn to sit outside.

I would come to Lixouri as a child many times but we would always stay at the family home so never experienced hotels. Last year -July 2022, was my first hotel experience as I lost my father in 2020. The Aura soon became a home away from home. The beach right in front, short walk to the main square and for me close to the cemetery. This family run boutique property is comfortable and clean. Family running it was very attentive and pleasant. Always so helpful. The only thing I would say is that the shower is not closed so the bathroom gets very very wet after a shower but that is. It enough to mark this cute property down. Breakfast was lovely too. I will 100% be staying again and thank you to the owners for being so amazing.
