While it may be located outside the center, I think that’s one of its best attributes. Its location is one of the best for viewing some of the surrounding mountains. It’s also quiet and relaxing. The food is great. We tried the deer and loved it. The breakfast was also just the right mix to get you going. The restaurant is very popular and fully booked when we were there. It’s that good. The price was reasonable, and the family that owned it was really accommodating. We enjoyed the snow even if the owners apologized for it, and we do intend to return when the place is more green than white. Can’t wait.

Pranzo ottimo con menu raffinato e vario, ambiente caratteristico e servizio curato, personale gentile. Ci sono ritornata dopo tanti anni e ho avuto nostalgia delle divise ampezzane sostituite da tenute più sportive

Lovely hotel outside Cortina, where we spent 5 nights recently. Staff is excellent, welcoming, and able to understand and speak English. The beds are quite comfortable. We stayed in a suite, which was spacious. Breakfasts were very good, with fresh fruit, bread and croissants, yoghurt, and eggs made to order. Two minor downsides. The hotel is about a 7-10 minute automobile ride outside Cortina , but it is very quiet. On one evening, after returning from Cortina, there were so many people in the restaurant we had trouble parking. Otherwise there is ample free parking, a big plus in Cortina. Also, the food in the restaurant was excellent.

We have just returned from a fantastic 3-night stay at Baita Fraina, and would highly recommend. It's a lovely, family-run hotel with I think only 6 rooms but also has a fantastic restaurant, which we would definitely recommend too. Location is out-of-town, uphill but with a fantastic view over the mountains towards the Cinque Torri. It's incredibly peaceful, and we appreciated that rather than being in Cortina itself. We were given a very spacious room on the top floor - with a separate living/dressing area with a sofa bed for an extra person. Bed was super comfy, and we had a lovely view from our terrace. Bathroom very modern with a powerful shower and hairdryer provided. Food was fantastic - we ate at the restaurant for two of our three nights and we really enjoyed the food. Breakfast was also fantastic, with lovely options and a lot of choice to say there were only 6 rooms. On the night the restaurant was closed we ate further up the hill at Franz Josef Stubl (5 minute walk) and really enjoyed that too. The owners and staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and really tried to speak english to us (our italian being very poor). Would definitely recommend Baita Fraina to anyone looking to stay in Cortina.

Good food, very unpleasant service. We spend a week in Cortina and had a pleasure having great service in many places. This place had exceptionally unpleasant , unfriendly and not courteous service from the servers to manager to the head of the dining room. Definitely , will not recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the evening out.( in spite of good shed in the kitchen)

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per un fine settimana lontani dalla città, avvalendoci del servizio di B&B. La baita è molto bella, dispone di 6 camere tutte rimesse a nuovo con ogni tipo di confort: frigo bar, bollitore, phon, kit igiene, con camere grandi, pulite e spaziose, ognuna con il suo terrazzo. La colazione offriva selezioni sia di dolci fatti in casa, yogurt e marmellate che di salato con affettati, pane e uova fatte al momento. C'è anche un grande parcheggio e la possibilità di mangiare nel ristorante della baita.

Alojamiento perfecto en un lugar espectacular. Habitaciones reformadas, muy cómodas y tranquilas. Un lugar ideal para descansar. También probamos el restaurante y se come muy bien, aunque no es barato. El personal muy atento, un par de días madrugamos y les pedimos si nos podían preparar el desayuno para llevar. Nos hicieron una bolsita muy completa. Un lugar de 10
