Be Here Now is a lovely, peaceful Guest House (Hotel) located right by Swoyambhu Mahachaitya Stupa and just a 20 minute walk to Thamel. I stayed here for over a month and loved every minute of my time and stay! A local Nepali family runs the small business. You will be warmly welcomed by owner Bijaya who has a huge heart and a deep knowledge of meditation and the enlightened Gurus. The rooms are really big, clean, and comfortable. All rooms come with a private attached bathroom and with hot running water. After staying in Nepal for 9 months, the beds here are really the BEST!! They have comfortable mattresses that are thick, NEW, and clean! Food cooked by Sangita is included with your stay and is really tasty and amazing. Meals vary each day; you will love Sangita and her local Nepali cooking! The team is also happy to cook vegan meals and cook to any diet needs (gluten free). They also have a garden which some of the food is grown; completely organic and chemical free! Bijaya picks many guests up directly from the airport as an optional service! He is fluent in English and can offer guided tours to help you see around every part of the city and make your stay really amazing! He manages guests constantly from all over the world (during my stay met travelers from China, Russia, Israel, France, and America). There are lots of local grocery stores to stock up any food. You can hear the birds singing all day here! Sometimes the monkeys come close for a visit! Really a special and rare place in Kathmandu. As Ram Dass would say “We're all just walking each other home.” … you will find a home here to remember for eternity! Namaste and lots of love ??
