Amazing hotel, our favourite hotel on our 2-month trip. You could tell that they had really thought about the small details, and about the things that visitors actually wanted. Nice style to the rooms very sound insulated, a 7-11 right across the road, the staff were lovely, and as an icing on the cake they have a sea eagle’s nest on the roof you can see with four sea eagles nesting. When we come back to Koh Tao, we’ll only be staying here. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more.

Accommodated to all our needs brilliantly, asked for decorations in the room as we were celebrating birthdays, they provided roses and balloons! The room was spotless every day and the shower was brilliant. A little fridge and water in bottles daily was very useful with the heat and the balcony was lovely to sit and chill in the afternoon! Would visit again!

Das Hotel liegt versteckt in einer wunderbar tropischen Anlage, welche einem gepflegten Dschungel gleichkommt. Die Mitarbeitenden der Rezeption waren grossartig. Sie haben uns Ausflüge und Taxis organisiert und waren stets für uns da. Unser Zimmer war im Parterre und ziemlich dunkel. Die Betten fanden wir nicht sehr bequem (zu weich und auch etwas durchgelegen). Zimmer und Bad sind einfach, aber sauber. Das Frühstück im dazugeh?renden Café war sehr gut, die Preise aber eher hoch. Wir wagten uns nicht, einen Roller zu mieten. Als Fussg?nger fühlt man sich beim ersten Schritt aus dem Hotel ziemlich ausgeliefert. Der Verkehr ist für die Gr?sse der Insel unglaublich.

Un ottimo compromesso nell'entroterra. Questa è la seconda volta che torniamo a Ko Tao. Come la prima volta avevamo cercato di tornare nella stessa struttura che si trovava affacciata sul mare. Visto che era tutto pieno, abbiamo cercato una struttura alternativa nell'entroterra. La scelta è caduta sul Big Tree Boutique Hotel, ed alla fine è risultata vincente. Anche se la struttura si trova su una delle strade più trafficate dell'isola, risulta abbastanza tranquilla e silenziosa. Molto carina ed immersa nel verde. La nostra camera, dotata di un balconcino abitabile delizioso, era situata al primo piano (magari è meglio chiedere il piano della stanza nel caso di persone con difficoltà di deambulazione) e raggiungibile tramite scala a chiocciola. Camera e bagno erano ampi, pulitissimi ed anche se in maniera minimal ben arredati. Balconcino delizioso con divanetto e tavolino. Utile anche per stendere teli e costumi. Personale gentilissimo e disponibilissimo con il quale abbiamo noleggiato uno scooter per girare tutta l'isola. Di fronte si trova un benzinaio e un utilissimo 7-Eleven. Con lo scooter in 10 minuti si raggiunge la Sairee Beach dove potete passeggiare e mangiare qualcosa. Il Cafè della struttura, veramente ottimo, permetteva di mangiare a prezzi scontati.

Niveau déco et chambre, très bien et bien équipé. Produits organiques et gestion de l’eau expliquée. Bon. On a logé dans le duplex 2 chambres, très sympa avec terrasse. Service souriant. Par contre gros problème d’humidité dans la chambre sous les toits… nos affaires ??sentaient?? et on se couche dans des draps moites… bof. Et surtout le bruit… le bruit de la route et des autres clients. Pour le prix paye, c’est dommage. Sur le papier la promesse du petit h?tel familial de charme était convaincante, mais on a été un peu dé?us. Préférer des resorts en bord de mer.

We had a lovely time here. Polite staff. Great location. I forgot my watch at a nearby restaurant and the kind lady at the reception called them and I managed to find it. ??

There are many things that make the Big Tree one of the most excellent accommodations on Koh Tao. At first glance, the property is located on the main road, making transportation very manageable. There's a 7-11 that opens 24-hours a day right in front. I have only good things to say about the members of the staff team, who are ever so attentive and accommodating. They're very responsive to Whatsapp chat with very good English. Best of all, their cleaning service is amazing! Room is cleaned everyday without fail. I feel refreshed every time I come back after a long day of diving. The room I stayed in was the Holiday Home. It’s spacious, well-designed, has a small kitchenette, and a smart tv to watch Netflix. There’s also a small attic above the bedroom that can be used as a playroom. They are very eco-friendly. The soap and shampoo are all made from natural ingredients and they smell incredible! All in all, I will definitely come back again whenever I visit Koh Tao in the future.

We had a really lovely 5 night stay at this hotel. The location is brilliant if you want somewhere close enough to walk to the busier parts of town but also set back slightly so you aren’t disturbed in the evenings. The rooms had a cosy feel but were a really good size. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate a number of times at the adjoining cafe for breakfast and lunch and the food was tasty and fresh. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying on Koh Tao. Traveller tips - *The hotel sort laundry for 50Bhat per kilo (which is no more expensive than if you take it into town yourself and super handy!) *If you are interested in diving, the hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from Mae Head pier and a brilliant dive centre called Davey Jones Locker which I’d highly recommend! *There are no mosquito nets in the room but we did have a few in the room so make sure to take bug spray and use it at night. I think they also leave the door open when they clean the rooms which meant we also had a number of caterpillars get in so check the bed and pillows before getting in! *If you got to Sairee beach at night, either get a taxi back or walk back down the beach as the main road is very dark and lots of cars/scooters drive down and it can be a little scary!
