Super petit h?tel authentique. Grande chambre, belle décoration mural. Eau froide dans la douche, mais au Sri Lanka, c'est habituel et je 'y suis accommodé. Personnel au petit soin. L'h?tel propose de l'eau filtrée, ce qui est primordial pour le pays, car le recyclage du plastique est en vois d'acquisition. Petit déjeuner copieux. Idéalement situé. Je serais bien resté plus longtemps.

Bien pour une étape... Point fort : Bien placé. Hors du bruit de la ville. Point négatif: H?tel vieillissant.. Dé?u du personnel.. Nous avions un vol t?t donc nous demandons un petit déjeuner a emporter.. Le lendemain matin nous avons eu une bo?te avec 2 morcaux d'ananas 2 de pastèque.... Jamais vu ?a!! On leur a fait la réflexion... ?a les a fait rire!!

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our Sri Lanka trip. It‘s a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff! Our room was nice, the breakfast was good and it‘s located in a calm place. So we really would recommend!

Magnifique petit hotel niché dans une petite ruelle a l abri du bruit de la rue. Belle chambre spacieuse propre. Salle de bain fonctionnelle Le prix est imbattable. le petit dejeuner est copieux. Le personnel est tres gentil serviable. Quand a Chiran il est agreable. Je recommande a 100%

Beautiful clean spacious rooms. Lovely welcoming pool. Chiran and his assistants couldn't have been friendlier and more keen to help. Easy walk to a great beach and good shops and restaurants. This is the perfect stopover before or after your flight as it is less than 30 minutes to the airport by tuktuk.

We stayed three nights at The Binnacle on our arrival in Sri Lanka. We found the location to be excellent, just a short walk from the beach and the bars/restaurants. Our particular favourite of the latter was ‘Lords’ which was less than 5 minutes away Breakfast was a delight with the kind and always smiling waiters preparing tasty fresh fruit followed by a Sri Lankan omelettes cooked to our liking. We were happy to book our final night there as well for the night before our return flight. Our thanks to owner Chiran and his two assistants for a fondly remembered stay and we look forward to a return visit soon!

It was nice to return to Sri Lanka for the first time since 2019 and even nicer to stay once again at Binnacle Hotel. This 8 room boutique hotel boasts most of the amenities of a larger hotel - probably the only thing missing would be a bar and a full dining room. But given its excellent location, a 2 minute walk to Beach Road, one really doesn’t miss it - great bars and restaurants abound on Beach Road! Meanwhile, back at the hotel, a guest can enjoy the in ground pool and lounging area. Chiran, and his team, Iresh and Dimal, go out of their way to provide 5 star service. All three are friendly, professional and helpful. Rooms are large with comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom is average size with shower that has a strong water flow. There is a flatscreen TV , fridge and inroom tea/coffee. The internet is consistently strong. The staff provides a a fresh fruit breakfast accompanied with omelettes, toast, tea/coffee each morning, and all with a smile. I stayed 3 weeks at Binnacle and took day trips around the country from there. It’s a home away from home for long stays! Many thanks to Chiran and staff and look forward to seeing you again in the future.

It was my second stay at the Binnacle, I wanted to spend more time in Negombo. The Binnacle is ideal for this. Negombo is often placed at the beginning or end of a trip to Sri Lanka because of its proximity to CMB airport. That was not enough for me. The day at the Binnacle starts with an opulent fruit plate that makes the sun rise. The breakfast also offers everything else the heart desires. My favourite was the spicy omelette. The rooms are spacious and of course with AC (AC is a must in Sri Lanka!). The staff is helpful and smiling, but still authentic. Binnacle is a small hotel just to my taste! Thank you Chiran and your lovely crew for your hospitality! I/we will be back!
