The staff at Black Urchin truly went above and beyond and delivered a level of service that is nearly five-star across the board. We stayed in the Grand Residence for 7 nights in late December through early January. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. A special shout-out to Badal, Fabiola, and Jonathan, who made our stay seamless and memorable along with many others whose names I unfortunately do not know. Our grocery delivery was already unpacked and put away when we arrived, and when we showed up with a very full supply of beverages from the airport stop, the team happily carried everything in and refrigerated it for us. They thought of everything—bringing pool floats, setting up a basketball hoop and pool volleyball for the kids, frequently refreshing wet pool and beach towels, and grooming the beach every morning. Paddleboards and kayaks were included and conveniently located just steps from the beach path. They were incredibly flexible, graciously adjusting dinner times when requested and even arranging last-minute jet skis that were delivered directly to the property. Transportation was always punctual, with the same friendly drivers each time (including a very memorable NYE dance party in the front seat!). The food service at the villa was excellent from start to finish. Shout out to Chef Remy and his team. Breakfast arrived each morning by 8:30 (earlier when requested), and the kids especially loved the hash browns. Lunches and dinners were consistently outstanding. One member of our group has Celiac disease and said it was some of the best food she’s had since her diagnosis—an incredible compliment. Portions were generous overall, and the team was always responsive to feedback. On New Year’s Eve, the BU staff added thoughtful festive touches with hats, horns, and a Happy New Year balloon banner that made the night feel extra special. The house itself is spectacular—spacious, beautiful, and extremely well equipped. As expected with a well-loved luxury property, there are a few signs of normal wear, but nothing that detracted from our experience. The staff was quick to address any small issues that came up and communicated clearly throughout. Having two washer/dryer setups with detergent provided was incredibly convenient, and the game room was a huge hit with everyone (giant Scrabble wall, Xbox, vintage arcade game, and foosball). The infinity pool is stunning—large, pristine, and with shaded areas available throughout the day. When the hot tub needed refreshing, the team promptly emptied, scrubbed, and refilled it. The entire home and outdoor areas are equipped with Sonos, making it easy to control music from our phones. Daily housekeeping kept everything immaculate. Black Urchin was one of the most memorable stays, words cannot describe how beautiful everything is, from the house to the beach to the crystal clear water. My friends and I visited for my best friend’s wedding, and I truly don’t think she could have chosen a better spot. The service was top-notch, with all the staff greeting you with a smile and always happy to help with anything. The rooms were extremely clean and offered stunning views of the ocean.

This was the best vacation experience I have had in all my 73 years! My family of 11 people stayed at the house called "Residence 1" with great ease and comfort. The house is amazingly gorgeous with a wonderful private pool, hot tub and steps to the beautiful beach! It is beautifully decorated with every amenity you can think of. The kids loved the private game room and Badal, the concierge was amazing! He provided anything we wanted, including a basketball net, a football and volleyball for the kids. Chef Carlos provided fantastic dinner cuisine and the house was stocked with all the food and drink we pre-ordered. This is my definition of luxury,

My group of 9 staid in one of the Suites and it was absolutely a great experience where everyone slept comfortably. The property is beautiful and the villa is stocked with all the needed essentials. Badal and the concierge team truly go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Any questions they were prompt with answering, as well as the pre-coordination for any pre-stocking needs was on par. This place is a dream come true. The accommodations were perfect. The kitchen was ready and stocked for any type of meal we wanted to prepare. We had dinner in a few different nights and lacked for nothing when it came to cooking utensils, pots and pans or anything else. The rooms were all private and very spacious each with their own full bath. The beds were ver comfortable and the pillows were better than home. The game room for the kids will keep them busy and out of your hair for hours. Jacuzzi, infinity pool or just steps to the beach, it was hard to choose where to relax next. Even with it being so soon after the storm they still had the beach area looking good for the guests.
