Stay was pleasant, room was neat and cool, enjoyed the pool very much to cool off in. Staff was help full.

We loved our stay at this charming historical home. From walks in the forest to lying next to the pool looking at the ocean. And amazing food at the next door golf club. We can't wait to return.

We booked Botha House for our honeymoon night; however, our experience was extremely disappointing due to several serious cleanliness and maintenance issues. Upon check-in, it was evident that the room had not been properly cleaned. The shower appeared to have been used prior to our arrival. The toilet seat had visible stains, and the toilet itself contained unhygienic marks. Additionally, the white bedding had large brown stains, which is completely unacceptable for accommodation of this standard. Furthermore, the air-conditioning unit outside the balcony was leaking water, creating a slipping hazard. We nearly slipped and fell as a result. Unfortunately, some of our wedding guests who also stayed at Botha House experienced similar issues, including an air-conditioning unit leaking directly onto their bed, which further raises concerns regarding maintenance and quality control. When these matters were brought to the attention of the manager, we felt that our concerns were handled in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. In particular, the explanation that the stained white bedding was due to “rust stains from the coast” was unsatisfactory. White bedding should be properly maintained and presented in a clean condition, regardless of location—especially at this price point. While Botha House is aesthetically a lovely guesthouse, the level of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service fell well below expectations. Given that this stay was meant to be our honeymoon night, the experience was deeply disappointing and unfortunately detracted from what should have been a very special and memorable occasion.

Excellent location, beautiful well kept grounds. Very efficient service with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble.

I have always wanted to visit Botha house having played a round or 2 of golf at Umdoni Golf club. We were immediately taken in by the Old world grandeur if the place. We were shown to our room which had wonderful North and South Sea views. The room was comfortable with a very large bathroom. I was taken in by all the beautiful Teak furniture - a lasting memoir excellence past.

The stay was spectacular. Nice view, good breakfast, nice environment. One problem: bed was broken. The sleep was not good.
