Nice place to stay for a few day's,Graham was a very welcoming host, knowledgeable of the area. The house was clean and conveniently located for everything we needed to do.Enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend Briscoe lodge for a few days in Windermere.

Briscoe Lodge is a lovely Guest House situated in the heart of Windermere Town. Our arrival was met by the pleasant House keeper who opened the front door for us. This lodge does not have a reception area. Guests are advised to contact the owners, Graham or Janet by telephone, their phone numbers are displayed on the welcome letter on the front door. After we received our Key, (opens the front door and your room) we went upstairs to our room which was very pleasant and clean! The pillows are very fluffy, spacious toilet and shower area, television with freeview and DVD Player, and there was complimentary tea/coffee with a kettle in the bedroom area. Briscoe Lodge offers breakfast for their guests which consists of Toast/Cereals and jams/marmalades with a bowl of delicious croissants. **They do not serve full English breakfasts** However there are many cafes in the area at a reasonable price! One night, our television wasn't working. We only used it to play music whilst we were getting ready but the free view couldn't get any signal. We let the owners know and they came up to try and fix it but without prevail. We went out for a lovely meal and when we came back, we found out the owners bought a brand new Smart TV for us with built in Netflix, YouTube and Disney which was absolutely brilliant!!!! We didn't expect them to do this but we were so humbled by their fantastic kindness! Not many accommodations would go out their way to do this for their guests, we can't thank them enough!! If anyone has problems with their freeview, there are a great selection of DVD's downstairs in the lounge to enjoy. Overall, our stay was very pleasant! We are giving you 5 stars for your kindness, thoughtfulness and we highly recommend everyone to come and stay here. Thank you again, Briscoe Lodge! We will see you all again soon. ?? Steve & Laura!

Absolutely wonderful placed to stay. Graham is a remarkable host - polite, accommodating, informative and very helpful. The rooms are nice and the breakfast's perfect. In walking distance to everywhere.

Stayed at Briscoe Lodge for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Graham was a fantastic host making you feel at home as soon as you arrived. Had a great knowledge of local area and took time to explain things. Nice room which had everything you needed. Also very handy for walking into shops etc. Breakfast was also everything you would need. If back in area with job would definitely be back, would recommend Briscoe Lodge if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Windemere.

Spent a lovely couple of days here. Graham was extremely welcoming. Arrived earlier than check-in to ask if i could leave my bag to find my room was ready and i was allowed into it. Fabulous choices for breakfast. Bed was extremely comfortable and just what was needed after a busy day. Graham let me leave my bag for a few hours after check out so i didn't have to haul it around with me until my train time. Clean and tidy although decor is a little dated for my tastes and the bathroom had carpet in it, again this just isn't my personal taste and will not stop me from staying here again. Freeview channels on the tv, Wifi access in rooms and a nice selection on the hospitality tray, also had a hair dryer in the room.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights and the room was spotlessly clean and bathroom modern. The bed was also very comfy and we slept well; although only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Windermere, the road was very quiet at night. Graham was a lovely host and helpful with recommending walking routes. He also provided a good breakfast spread. We would definitely come back to stay here again as it provided everything we needed (& more!). We had a wonderful weekend.

The Briscoe Lodge is located in a very quiet area close to the heart of Windermere: nearby, you will find shops, bars, restaurants and bus stops. The railway station is just a few minutes walk away. Graham, the owner, is one of the kindest person I have ever met. He is always ready to help and gave lots of advice about places to visit and which hikes to take. The place was really clean. Furthermore, the continental breakfast offered was really rich, including bread, jams, Nutella, yogurts, fruit juices and hot drinks. Finally, I would highly recommend this place and definitely would come back again!
