A beautiful home with lovely, thoughtful hosts who have created a very special place to stay in an amazing location with spectacular views over the treetops to the sea. The house is very clean & extremely comfortable with a great breakfast. Stayed for 2 nights but wished it was much longer.

Mein Aufenthalt in der Buffalo Lodge war einfach paradiesisch! Die einsame und ruhige Lage im Wald, der Blick bis zum Meer, die Menschen Eli mit seinem Team. Ich habe mich zu Hause gefühlt wie bei guten Freunden. Das Zimmer gro? und sauber. Mehrere Aufenthaltsr?ume, Bibliothek, riesige Terrasse. Das Frühstück war sensationell - fast alles homemade, frisch mit gro?er Auswahl. Herzensdank an Eli und Crew ??

Nos hospedamos no Buffalo Lodge e a experiência foi excelente! Embora n?o haja recep??o física, a comunica??o foi muito clara e o check-in foi tranquilo. O local estava impecavelmente limpo, o café da manh? era delicioso, com ingredientes locais, e a vista era simplesmente deslumbrante. A cama era confortável, o chuveiro ótimo e, no geral, recomendamos bastante!

I travelled around North and South Island using a mixture of accommodation, including 4* hotels and I can say only oner place came close to the standard of here. Had I known just how nice it was before I arrived I would have changed my travel plans to stay here longer. Attention to detail was exceptional and the property gives the impression of isolation yet only 10 mins from town centre

Coromandel coast We enjoyed our stay, room was very comfortable large windows allowing for watching the sunset and incredible views. The breakfast was most enjoyable.

Beautiful room, gorgeous view, quiet and away from everything. Very nice way to end a hectic sightseeing day. Very relaxing way to wake up. Don't expect fancy, it's not that kind of place. Kind of a country retreat. The room was very clean. That's it. Nothing more to write.

We couldn’t have had a warmer welcome from Eli and Abby. The lodge is beautiful, a Swiss-style mountain lair, and the sunset views were spectacular. At extra cost there was a nice range of pasta, sauces and nibbles for guests who wanted to prep some simple food for themselves, and a good selection of local wines in the chiller, all reasonably priced. Kerry made us a delicious breakfast in the morning and was lovely to chat to. We only had time to stay one night. Would happily have tarried longer.

Stunning views in a tranquil setting. Exceptionally clean. The hosts and staff are incredibly inviting, yet give you space to explore and feel comfortable by yourselves. Just a lovely experience. I only wish we lived closer to return again and again.

I had a fantastic and very comfortable stay at Buffalo Lodge, and received a warm welcome from the owners. The lodge is beautifully kept and breakfast was delicious! The view from the terrace is absolutely spectacular! I was just sorry to only be staying one night - I hope to return sometime. Highly recommended!!

Very welcoming home from home, great location for exploring The Coromandel Peninsula, Chums Beach etc... Excellent facilities for self catering. Stunning views and memorable sunsets. Thank you for a relaxing few days...............
