This was a wonderful place to spend 48 hours. Really marvellous management and kind (and skilled) staff in a spectacular property. The gardens are beautiful. We were able to watch the four talented chefs prepare the sumptuous evening meal - that proved to be very interesting indeed. Richard Hanlon very helpful in all ways. We will come back for a longer stay.

The most beautiful boutique hotel in a rarely found quiet area of India. The rooms are a delight with lots of attention to detail. There has been a great deal of thought in the design of this building and surrounding grounds. The gardens and pool area are an oasis of tranquility. The staff are very attentive and all seem to enjoy their jobs and we also invited into the kitchen to see the preparation of the food which was a great experience. They also have a kitchen garden where they grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. A great place to stay.

I returned to Bujera Fort for another magical stay. It seems to get better and better. Richard and Trish’s attention to detail is beyond superb in an understated way. A wonderful welcome as always, lots of smiling staff, nothing is too much trouble. The chef and his team produced mouthwatering food with style. Everyone just wants to please. I cannot wait for another very, very comfortable stay. Well done to them all but it all comes from excellent leaders!

Have waited over 10 years to stay at BF & it was better than I ever imagined. There is luxury & there is Bujera fort luxury . Effortless uncontrived discreet ; not obsequious - reaffirming through quality - everything from the care products in the room, teas , cafetière ( of course) & the most perfect blend of coffee. The touches of delight in little hidden details . The sounds of nothing but the mild brushing of the dust & leaves by the village ladies in their brightly coloured sari’s. The cooing of the birds the distant mooing of cows or buffalo’s and the intermittent laughter of goats .The flapping of the wings of the birds who try to secure a cool drink of pool water . This and the gentle chatter of the other people sharing our wonderment in this feat of curated luxury! Bujera Fort is quietly proud - elegantly understated in its satisfaction of a job well done We will return! Julie & Jon Woodhead

Beautiful garden surrounds the central pool. Very luxurious rooms , and outside seating. Breakfast lunch and dinner all wonderful. The evenings especially wonderful with all guests seated together for cocktails etc followed by freshly cooked food served at candlelit tables and with the frangipani trees tastefully covered with white fairy lights. Unexpected delights include a beautiful library and loads of interesting architectural salvage pieces in scattered locations. The staff were all wonderful . We were particularly thankful to Jestuan.

This wonderful hotel, built by two English people, maybe a bit of a drive to the west of Udaipur, but what it lacks in being close or in the city, is more than made up by its peace & tranquility. As is usual in Rajasthan, the impressive arched entrance, gives way to a beautiful open courtyard with a lovely swimming pool. The buildings are arranged around,in 2 floors. The bedrooms are immaculately prepared. Drinks, canopies & a first course are served on the first floor terrace, where Richard & Trish are the perfect hosts. By the time we are invited downstairs for dinner, the wonderful staff have turned the courtyard into a magical space of lights & candles - & dinner is of the highest standard. The hotel may not be classed as a 5 star city hotel, but it’s got my vote!! - it’s perfect.

What a wonderful place. Beautifully decorated, perfect attention to detail and so relaxing. Small intimate boutique hotel, a perfect escape and within a short drive to stunning Udaipur. Delicious food and stunning setting. We loved it here and I'm sure we'll be back! It felt like a welcoming home. Thank you to Richard and Trish for such a very special few days.

Wonderful stay at Bujera Fort. The setting is peaceful and luxurious and feels very authentic. The team there make everyone feel so welcome and I had a wonderful cooking class with their amazing chefs! You could see how fresh the ingredients were as they are picked from their vegetable patch and the kitchen has the highest standards of cleanliness. Evening drinks by the fire and dinner are not to be missed! We had a beautiful room which has so many extra special touches and particularly enjoyed the hot water bottles on arriving back at night as the weather was a little cool for the time of the year.
