we had a lovely stay at bushwillow. The staff were super friendly and helpful. My husband loved the sounds of the frogs and birds while he braaied at night. We enjoyed some lovely walks around the park too, spotting some giraffe and nyala.

On arrival we were greeted by Ben with a welcome cold drink, help with our luggage and a quick tour of Red Ivory, which was very well equipped and so peaceful. Huge bi-fold doors opening out onto the bush and splash pool area.The only sound constant bird song. We'd booked db&b and learned that Ben was the chef. His cooking was superb, making even our breakfasts special and serving up his delicious personal recipes for our evening meals. Then there was De Wet who was such a great host, There was much banter with him regaling us with stories of his exploits. (Many times with frowns from Ben when our food was waiting to be served!) His daily advice and knowledge was invaluable, Another Ben appeared the next morning. He looked after us at mealtimes and expertly fielded our many fauna/birding questions with great clarity & wit. Ben 2 also took us on a night bush walk. His care and knowledge was extraordinary and insightful. Thoroughly recommended. Then there was 'Si' who took us on a morning bush walk to give us a taste of tracking and birding round the beautiful reserve. Again very knowledgeable with a keen sense of humour. Kuleni is a perfect location to explore from, with Hluhluwe national park just 3/4 hours away. What made this visit very special was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of Bushwillow's staff. Our four nights passed far too quickly and it was a sad parting on our last morning. So hank you again to the staff, seen and unseen who made our visit so memorable.

A work colleague and I spent 4 nights at the Bushwillow Collection in the Kuleni Private Game Reserve recently. The units are well maintained and provide absolute privacy within the surrounding Sand Forest. Each unit has its own private splash pool. Bush Walks can be undertaken within the Kuleni Reserve where non-big 5 game can be viewed on foot or it can be arranged for a Learner/s from the nearby Bhejane Nature Training facility to accompany you and provide expert interpretation skills of the natural flora and fauna. Sand Forest birding is excellent with many endemic and migratory species being observed.

We had such a wonderful 2 night stay at Bushwillow in June. We were travelling for business, but the spacious and peaceful setting made it feel like a mini break too! The rooms were immaculate — super neat, well-equipped, and surprisingly spacious. Our two toddlers had the best time running around and exploring the outdoors — all while we felt completely safe supervising them. It’s not often you find accommodation that feels so close to nature yet so comfortable for little ones. The first night we even had a bush baby visit on the deck - cautiously watching us from its branch. Although we didn’t have time to enjoy all the lodge has to offer, we’re already planning a return trip with the family to fully soak it all in. Highly recommended for both work and play!

Bushwillow is neatly nestled into the bush and provides an amazing atmosphere. The walking trails inside Kuleni is a safari in itself. We saw giraffes, wildebeest, zebra, nyala, impala, worthog, mongoos, blue(?) duiker and guineafowl. The size and style of the rooms are excellent, and you've got all the ameneties you could wish for. The service was very flexible and good. Bushwillow provided an excellent base for our game drives. I will happily return soon!

No aircons in the unit, it was unbearable to live in the unit without aircon,the pool was dirty & require s attention. The game park it self is amazing.. I bit of attention to detail & the unit can be amazing

We enjoyed 2 nights at this delightful spot. The unit is a joy - bright, clean, modern facilities which included a braai on the deck. The splash pool is well maintained & was a godsend in the February heat. The host, Thobile is remarkable. Welcoming, helpful, forever cheerful. We loved the sandforest walks which are clearly marked and maintained. The whole process of booking, checking in & out is simple and pleasant. We will definitely return.

The service was good and the house was extremely luxury we did love the house and enjoyed our selves,the place was peace and quiet.so many of our friends were asking about this place and asking for the location,hop soon you will have more guests ??and we will love to come back again some ather time ??????

Surrounded by the dense sand forest, with prolific bird-life and excellent walking trails, the chalet is beautifully designed and tastefully decorated, luxuriously finished and comfortably equipped. The private plunge pool and complete tranquility offer an unforgettable opportunity to simply "breathe", relax and ENJOY! We're already planning our return journey....
