Christophe is a fantastic host; I highly recommend his cabanas. His friendliness and storytelling about the island made our vacation so much better. The place is just where the hike starts to Rano Kau, a 10-minute walk from the town, with a beautiful view of the ocean—an amazing place to watch the sunset.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable week long stay at Cabanas Cristophe and would heartily recommend it to anyone visiting Easter Island. Rosario and Christophe were very friendly, helpful and attentive hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. Situated overlooking the coast, a short walk from all of the amenities in Hanga Roa and at the foot of the trail to the spectacular Rano Kau volcano, Cabanas Christophe is in a great location. The rooms were spacious, well appointed, impeccably clean and had incredibly comfortable beds! The option to be able to self-cater is also a bonus, especially if you are planning to stay more than a few days in Easter Island. Thank you Rosario and Christophe for making my stay in Easter island such an unforgettable experience!

Imagine a place where you feel like heaven. Whether you want to cook, do laundry, or do anything but relax by the Pacific Ocean, this place will meet your every need. In the morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, the owner will give you fresh bread, a variety of coffee and tea, as well as jams and butter. Is it too good to be true? And a bottle of local wine. The owner is the nicest person in the world. Christopher and his wife Rosario will answer all your questions. They are always happy to answer your questions and help you with everything. He even picked us up from the airport and dropped us off. This wonderful family treats their guests like family, very welcoming and loving. Gratitude is not enough. I recommend this house to everyone. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Caba?as Christophe ha sido parte fundamental de nuestra experiencia en Rapa Nui. Bien ubicada, cerca de todo, una vista de mar y atardeceres preciosos desde la cama o desde el balcón. Nos quedamos en la caba?a que está en el segundo nivel para tener las mejores vistas. Las atenciones de Christophe y esposa han sido a otro nivel. Ellos pueden ofrecerte los servicios de guía turístico, alquiler de auto y todas las recomendaciones de actividades en la isla. Como guía Christophe fue muy divertido, con datos precisos y muchísima información. Lo mejor de tener un guía privado es no tener que ir con prisa. La caba?a cuenta con excelente WIFI, peque?a nevera, cafetera, microondas, utensilios y todo lo necesario para hacer de tu estancia una inolvidable. Este lugar lo recomiendo. No nos hemos ido y ya queremos regresar.

Starstruck looking at the Milky Way and spellbound listening to the South Pacific waves lapping on the seashore, you will be transported to another world. When you come back to reality Christophe and Rosario will soften the blow with their wonderful warm welcome. They are generosity personified and will provide you with an endless supply of juice, jam, ham, cheese and bread. In addition Rosario was extremely patient and helpful when responding to my numerous questions before my visit. I cannot imagine a better place to stay on Rapa Nui.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans la caba?a de Christophe (Christophe nous a aussi servi de guide pour visiter). Les lieux sont agréables et très propres. Christophe et sa famille sont très sympathiques. On recommande !

Mi esposo y yo nos alojamos una semana en la habitación del 2do. piso con vista al mar y al volcán Rano Kau. La habitación es hermosa: las vistas son excelentes, las comodidades (ba?o y ducha, calidad del colchón y de las almohadas) están en perfecto estado, la limpieza es impecable y el wifi funciona perfectamente. No incluye desayuno pero en la habitación teníamos cafetera, pava eléctrica, microondas y heladera, y todos los días nos convidaban con pan recién hecho, calentito todavía, manteca y dulce para el desayuno. La atención de Rosario y Christophe es maravillosa, sumamente amables y atentos a cada detalle: nos dieron todo tipo de información turística, nos prestaron libros y guías escritas sobre la isla. Brindan servicio de guía en tours privados (excelente, hicimos dos días completos con Christophe) y alquilan automóviles (algo absolutamente necesario en la isla, los sitios están muy distantes unos de otros). Todo resuelto en un solo lugar, siempre con una sonrisa. Como si fuera poco, cuando le conté a Rosario que me interesaba en la educación en lenguas de pueblos originarios (es parte de mi trabajo en la Universidad), me contactó con una educadora rapanui para que pudiera hacerle una entrevista. En síntesis, Rosario y Christophe son anfitriones magníficos: gracias a ellos nuestro viaje fue inolvidable.

Had a great time at Caba?as Christophe. Christophe picked us up at the airport and was helpful with finding us a tour, renting us a car, and even took us into town. He was also helpful in communications leading up to the trip. The room was cozy and warm and came with a lovely view.

We stayed at Caba?as Christophe with my parents, my spouse and 3 children. We rented a Caba?a which accommodates 5, and a bedroom with kitchenette. It was great to each have a private space around the same yard where our kids could run around and play. The gated yard is amazing with flowers, banana trees and lots to see, including the sea on the horizon. The path to the Orongo volcano is just across the street. Christophe and Rosario were attentive hosts, from airport pick-up with flower necklaces for all to hassle free car rental on-site to private tours reserved at the last minute with Christophe as our guide, we had a magical and relaxing stay on the island. The Caba?a/room are spacious located about a 30-minute walk from downtown (walking with children). The beds were comfortable and cable tv was available. Having a rental car makes movements easier. Alternatively, a taxi is about 4,000-5,000 clp one-way. We really enjoyed having a large table on the terrace of the caba?a where we gathered for meals even in the rain as it is covered by a roof. Breakfast included fresh bread, delicious local fruit jam and juice. We were also given local fruits by our hosts. The kitchen is small but with great and large appliances which allowed us to cook. Ideally, travelers will bring most of their food from Santiago, as prices are higher on the island and availability is limited. The hosts are eager to make your stay relaxing, and if you find that anything is missing or would additional services, ask them!
