I was pleased with this hotel as it was much nicer than I thought with the low price .
Amazing Victorian large building with classic design .

Friendly staff, good rate for a room on a weekend, free parking, warm and lashings of hot water.

No hit water.. no heating .. very dated room and bathroom.. we were given another room that had heating and hot water, but still very dated. Bar was ok and prices were about right for a hotel. Breakfast , served buffet, prefer to help myself and not be given what the server thinks , like at school, eggs looked soft fried, but were hard. I suppose it was fair for the price we oaid

As always excellent stay all staff going beyond in seeing that stay is enjoyable breakfast exceptional as is evening meals

A very large hotel, suitable for a one-night stay. The soundproofing doesn’t seem very good, so you can’t speak loudly at night, but the price is very reasonable and affordable.

Stayed for 4 nights lovely hotel nice old building could do with a bit of TLC in some places. Very clean very good food and excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Will be staying again.

The reception staff were not friendly or polite. The duvet inside room was dirty and when I mentioned it to reception staff no apology and simply said will send housekeeping up. The carpet was dirty. The hot water takes 15-20 minutes to heat up in the bathroom due to old plumbing. The interiors were dingy tired looking and cold just like the reception staff. Not a pleasant experience
