Nous avons séjourné à l’h?tel Caledonian Canal Centre à Fort Augustus. Hotel très bien situé au c?ur du village, proche des commerces et des services (restaurant The Moorings à eviter, cher pour la qualité des plats) mais aussi de l’embarcadère bateau. Chambre et sanitaires corrects. Mais un bémol pour notre chambre attenante au cafe restaurant (musique à partir de 8h). Je recommande cependant pour un cours séjour.

The most welcoming hotel on our Highlands road trip. From our greeting on arrival to our fond farewell five days later, we were made to feel at home. The Caley is a traditional Scottish Highlands hotel that has been run by the same family for nearly 50 years. They have truly made their mark on the place. There’s a quaint, slightly old fashioned feel to the place, but the hosts don’t scrimp on quality and comfort. Our room was clean and cozy and the bed comfortable. There’s a good Wi-Fi and a TV in the room. Breakfast is a real treat, cooked freshly to order and nothing is too much trouble. Which is just as well as the home made marmalade is so delicious you’ll be asking for more toast! There’s a comfy lounge to plan your day’s activities - but no need for guide books as Chris knows everything from the weather forecast to the best attractions and restaurants. He’s also quite knowledgable about whisky so it’s worth popping into the hotel bar for a nightcap. A most enjoyable stay.

We were greeted by our host Christ who made us feel right at home. Our room was cozy and clean - we just had a fantastic stay. Had we known we‘d find a place we would feel so at home we‘d have spent more than one night here. Sadly we were too tired to join to the bar, cause if it is even half as funny and engaging as our breakfast was, we’d have had a blast. My boyfriend keeps insisting the scrambled eggs would make Gordon Ramsey proud, and I have to agree. Thanks so much for a fantastic stay, hoping to come back one day, Ole and Steffi from the ?Austrian Empire“.
