Beautiful property....excellent location ...only downfall was no parking but that has nothing to do with property ....construction out front ...again not the fault of the property!! Breakfast was so nice ....beautiful presentation and staff was super nice !!!

We stayed 1 night of 3 nights here and wish we had done it all at Cale. While it doesn’t have huge extra amenities it is clean , rooms big, view incredible. Feels like home.
Could not be more central. Everything is within a few minutes walk. The staff (thanks Chris and others) knock themselves out to make you feel at home. Breakfast is great and the welcome discussion and orientation at arrival over complimentary port is fantastic . When we come back we will stay here again.

Chambre très confortable et propre.
Notre chambre était au quatrième étage. Dommage qu’il n’y avait pas d’ascenseur.
Petit déjeuner pris t?t en raison d’un train à prendre : nous aurions apprécié de pouvoir profiter des croissants qui n’avaient pas été disposés. Sinon séjour agréable. Merci.

Einen tolle, super gelegene Unterkunft mit sehr netten und bemühtem Personal und einem guten Frühstück.
Leider war bei uns bereits bei unserem Einzug der Toilettendeckel samt Brille v?llig kaputt und man hatte diesen in der Hand bzw. er ist von der Toilette gerutscht - also wirklich sehr gef?hrlich und mit hoher Unfallgefahr.
Wir sind beide 64 Jahre alt und für solche Spielchen nicht mehr zu haben!
Trotz sofortiger Mitteilung beim Hotelpersonal waren diese innerhalb unserer 4 Tage, die wir hier verbracht haben nicht in der Lage für einen Austausch der Toilettenbrille oder deren Reparatur zu sorgen. Angeblich würde der Chef sich darum kümmern. Auf unsere Anfrage wie es, aufgrund des gro?en Mangels mit einem Rabatt ist haben wir bis heute keine Reaktion erhalten.
Leider hat dieser Umstand das restliche Erscheinungsbild sehr gest?rt.

Foi uma ótima estadia no Porto, boa localiza??o, quarto amplo com uma bela vista da cidade e um ótimo atendimento, especialmente pela Cris, que nos deu muita aten??o e muitas boas dicas.

Posizione ottima per visitare Ribeira. Struttura accogliente, personale gentile e disponibile. Stanza spaziosa, comoda e pulita. Colazione essenziale ma completa. Manca l’ascensore, ma dovendo muoversi nei saliscendi del centro storico non può essere un problema. Super consigliata.

I had a wonderful stay at Cale Guest House. The location is perfect—so accessible to many of Porto's top sightseeing spots, making it easy to explore the city. The view from my room was exceptional, and the rooftop area added an extra special touch for enjoying the night scenery. The house itself is old but beautiful, filled with character, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful.
A couple of small downsides were that there was no elevator, which might be challenging for those with heavy luggage, and no refrigerator in the room. However, these were minor inconveniences, and overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I'd highly recommend Cale Guest House to anyone looking to experience Porto’s charm!

Cale Guest House is a heritage property with many stairs. We knew this prior to staying, but still a lot of climbing. The amenities were simple, yet met our needs.
The staff were great, the rooms tidy and clean and beds were absolutely the best. Breakfast was quite adequate and tasty.
The location near the river was ideal for dining, but crazy busy for the end of September.
We enjoyed our stay.
