A Hidden Gem in Glacis – Our 5-Star Stay at Calm S
From the moment we arrived at Calm Sorento, we knew we had found something special. Nestled in the serene hills of Glacis with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean, this charming bed and breakfast offered the perfect blend of comfort and authentic Seychellois/Italian hospitality
The view from our balcony was simply breathtaking—sunrises over the ocean, the sound of waves in the distance, and lush greenery all around. It felt like waking up in a postcard every morning. The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with a large bathroom that included both a shower and a bathtub—perfect after a day of exploring.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the warmth of the staff. Housekeeper Shifah and the owner (Luka & Berquitta) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, sharing local tips. Their kindness added a personal touch that made us feel more like guests in a home than customers at a hotel.
Breakfasts were a daily delight—fresh fruit, different egg dishes and pancakes and served on the terrace with that same stunning view. The pool area was peaceful and well-maintained.
If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with heart, soul, and a view to remember, Calm Sorento is it. We left feeling refreshed & grateful.

As it was our first time in the Seychelles, I was hesitant to book a bed&breakfast place for us but I decided to listen to the positive reviews - I am glad I did!
The room is spacious and feels like home. It's spotless clean and has all one'd need for a no frills stay. What takes the experience to the next level is the view out of the balcony! one would be willing to hike for 2 hours to get to an outlook with the same view as you would get by simply stepping out side into the balcony! it's amazing!
You will get a homy breakfast served to you on that same balcony with the that epic view, too!
I strongly recommend this place. The owners' dedication to high standards of hospitality is truly impressive!
Note: Rent a car! srsly! Don't take a taxi there. it's on top of a hill (that's how you get the epic view). The roads to the place it so steep even the car might struggle to go up the hill at points. You'd need a car to explore the area, go to the beach or restaurants anywhere.
Also a note to the owner if they see this, I have an amazing drone footage of your property - happy to share it with you for your marketing purposes. I can only post pictures here.

It’s a very nice stay there for 3 nights. Clean room, pleasant and helpful staff, I had a good time.

Le palais Calme de la Sirène
Une seule nuit dans ce qui ressemblait à un palais. Chambre immense ! Balcon immense, et superbe vue.
L’endroit porte bien son nom c’est très calme. La piscine est très agreable après une journée de balade et avec la chaleur des Seychelles !
Nous avons été très bien accueilli et avons échangé quelques minutes avec la propriétaire avant notre départ

Beautiful property with a lovely view. Up a fairly steep hill so be prepared if you're not renting a car and want to walk down to the beach. The staff is wonderful and so welcoming.

Great place but mind the location if without a car
Everything was really good, the hosts were nice and the room was comfortable.
One thing that's needed to be considered and we didn't know - the place is pretty high on a hill so every time we wanted to get out and come back it was pretty rough climbing (or getting a taxi)
