My booking was for a 6 night stay with my husband and 2 grown children. I booked this property based on the privacy of a one bedroom apartment, the balcony and the must A/C unit. It was a complete disappointment, on all counts. There was only one a/c unit in the living room. It was not capable of cooling down the living room alongside the bedroom, or the bathroom. My husband and I gave up sleeping in the bedroom after the first night since we were not able to sleep from the heat. We took out the mattress and laid it down in the living room. We kept the bedroom closed the rest of the stay to get the living room cool enough the rest of our stay. We decided to cook dinner to try out some of the local groceries, big mistake. We had to call property manager to help us turn it off because there were not instructions on how to use the stove, and the apartment had become an oven. A handy man had to be called out to help us turn it off. The balcony was a bust as well. It was full off cleaning supplies, an old washing machine and the remains of a foldable chair. Those beautiful pots seen in the picture are still there, but the plants are long dead. Even had it been just like the picture, no one can sit out there to enjoy the view, as the temperature was never cool enough to enjoy it. The heat is unbearable in July in Italy. Most days, the humidity levels were over 50%. This property might be a good stay during winter or spring, but definitely not during the summer. Beware

Since there is an air conditioning unit it is listed amongst the amenities. We had an assistance number available if there are any issues with the apartment and were happy to direct you regarding the use of the stove top.

Lovely view in Firenze The apartment was charming with a beautiful terrace. It was very clean, quiet, and easy access to local attractions. Our only complaint was that the fan was broken and the AC unit could not bring temperature down below 31, although we came during a heatwave. The stairs are a bit treacherous and there are many of them. It was not a problem for us but just a heads up to future guests.

Happy to hear that you enjoyed the apartment! During the period that you stayed with us there was extreme weather warnings unfortuantely. We would have been have to bring another fan for you and check the air conditioning.

First of all, the property manager contacted us multiple times to ask about arrival time. Despite giving the arrival timing a day in advance and confirming it on the same day, we still had to wait about 15-20mins under the hot sun with all our luggages on the narrow street. Secondly, the place is pretty dirty. There were ants everywhere and some even crawled on our pillows. Oven had bunch of crumbs left behind. There was piles of dust on the floor and in corners. We found a vacuum and tried to clean but vacuum was broken. The master bedroom has no aircon or fan, which made it intolerable to sleep in at night as it was summer. We ended up sleeping 4 people on the living room sofa bed, which was very uncomfortable and not to mention bed was creaky. The bathroom is Tiny! You can’t turn around without hitting the glass door while showering. If you’re of bigger built, don’t book this place. We’re relatively small Asians and even we had problems squeezing in there to shower. The washing machine is also tiny, I think it had a 4kg capacity, so we had to run multiple loads for our family of 4. Lastly, the location is not great, about 30mins walk from train station. And you have to lug your luggage about 4-5 flights of stairs as there’s no elevator.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any issues that you had during your stay. Since it is an apartment, not a hotel, we have to coordinate for the check-in as there is no reception. The apartment is cleaned by our cleaners before guest arrival and after guest departure. We would have been happy to send them back if there were any issues. Both the shower and washing machine are standard Italian size. The apartment is located in the Oltrarno neighbor hood, specifically San Frediano, which is a neighborhood that is in the historic center of the city and loved by tourists and locals alike. The apartment is not listed with either an elevator or air conditioning.
