This is a beautiful property a couple of miles from Portree just off the main highway. The hosts were welcoming, the room was highly updated and spacious, and it was very quiet. The breakfast was excellent. This was a wonderful choice as a base for our Isle of Skye adventures.

This is a beautiful Inn deserving of the great reviews here. Well-appointed and luxurious rooms. High touch service. The hosts/innkeepers were friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts they prepared were delicious. Highly recommended!

Lovely location set in the countryside a few miles out of town. Beautiful room, very airy, very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, delicious breakfast, very nice and helpful hosts.

What a wonderful respite. Such warm hosts in a very warm home. Immaculately clean, very comfortable bed, and a home that instills a sense of calm and safety to be completely at ease after majestic hiking and exploring. Affable, kind, responsive hosts. Thank you!

My husband and I took a trip to Scotland in May 2024 and stayed at Cannowindra for 2 nights. From check in to check out everything was perfect. The location was fantastic, the hosts were kind and very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and homemade by the hosts. We hope to return to Scotland and Skye someday and will definitely be booking here again. We highly recommend staying here on your trip!

We booked at Canowindra to celebrate a special birthday and our anniversary and we could not have done a better choice. Rick and Georgie made us feel so welcome and comfortable in their gorgeous home. Warm, cozy, quiet, tastefully decorated, it was everything I was dreaming of. Every breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed the morning conversations. Oh and I even got a special treat for my big day, what's not to love! Isle of Skye is a unique, amazing place to visit and Canowindra is a perfect basecamp to explore it and also to get some great rest. Merci beaucoup ;)

The Canowindra was perfect for our wedding anniversary! We road-tripped through Scotland and this was our favorite stay! Island of Skye is magical, this place makes your stay perfect. The sweetest hosts, with so much attention to detail and the little things in your room. Perfectly curated rooms and the location is perfect, minutes from Portree and other sights. Georgie and her husband were very helpful with our questions and made us a to-go breakfast before our sunrise hikes. Breakfast is 10/10. I could rave about this place forever!

Canowindra is a fantastic place to say. We stayed here for two nights on a 10 day tour of the Scottish Highlands and it was by far our favourite accommodation from the 8 places we stayed. The room was very large, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and also a roll-top bath. The guests also have a lounge they can use and we felt incredibly at home while staying here. The B&B is just outside Portree, the main town on Skye, so the location is also perfect. The owners, Georgie and Rick, were so welcoming we felt like friends, not customers. Breakfast was amazing too. This is definetly the place to stay if you are visiting Skye.

Abbiamo passato due notti in questo b&b. Camera molto graziosa e spaziosa, con bagno grande e ben attrezzato (unico neo la doccia senza porta che crea inevitabilmente un po’ di allagamento). Colazione ottima, con ampia possibilità di scelta e prodotti di ottima qualità. Parcheggio facile e proprio davanti alla struttura. La gatta del b&b è adorabile. Assolutamente consigliato!

Canowindra is a superb B&B which is run be Georgie who provided a very warm and friendly welcome when we arrived. We stayed in Fishes which is superbly appointed and vey spacious having a very large bathroom with a superb shower and a roll top bath and a very large bedroom with a huge bed! The breakfast which was served by Georgies other half was excellent with plenty of choice and was served in a very nice spacious dining room. We were very pleased with the the accommodation and facilities and would definitely return if we travelled to Skye again. Thank you Georgie and family
