Great relaxing stay - home from home, good location, wonderful lounge areas, self serve breakfast, easy to work into town centre, bikes, outside chairs and fire pits - love it lots of stairs so not ideal for anyone who might struggle with stairs. Very tastefully decorated

I'm a travel writer and just found my new favorite hotel chain!! It's amazing. The staff, the rooms, the common spaces. This place was really special. And the chef even made my wife and I something special for breakfast when he found out we were vegetarian. Highly recommend this place!!!

My husband and I came here for a little two night get away after our wedding. We have stayed here multiple times in just about every property they have and each time it gets better! The rooms are so cozy and spacious! Also the perfect amount of privacy! It’s especially nice because it has such “inn” vibe! However each time we stay the most important aspect is Kristen! She is always working and happens to be the general manager! She is constantly checking in and making sure our stay is nothing but the best, each time making it that more memorable! She has got to be the glue that holds that collection together! We can’t wait for our next stay and to see her again!

When my wife Karin and I were planning a trip to Kenebunkport, we viewed many websites till we selected the Captains Collection located on Pleasant St. (a fitting name indeed). We stayed at the Nathaniel Lord Mansion, named after a Captain and ship builder. The house dates back to 1812. It is the center of the other homes that are part of the Captains Collection. It is the reception hub for the other houses. We stayed in room 22, referred to by Paula as "the room". She was correct. The suite had a large bedroom, living area with tall ceilings and windows. The various drapes, furniture fit the room perfectly. We loved the rounded corners. There was also a fireplace. A bathroom/shower was en suite. Then there was another large room with a jacuzzi, fireplace and two sinks. Luxury. The breakfasts were wonderful, plenty of choices, included fajitas and quiches. There were savory dishes as well as one or two sweet treats. All were tasty. I rarely indulge in sweet foods at breakfast but I couldn't resist the baked goodies. Many varieties of beverages, including the caffein free teas, were available. In the afternoon, the staff put out freshly baked cookies, chocolate chip with a sprinkle of sea salt were my favorite. In the end, it is the staff that makes the difference here at the Captains Collection. All were pleasant, helpful, always willing to please. Many of them balanced multiple roles and were very good at fulfilling them. Karin and I had an issue, without going into the details, and the staff responded so well. They were kind, accomodating, compassionate and just plain wonderful. We can't thank them enough for their generous service and kindness. We are glad that we chose to stay at the Captains Collection. We had a terrific time.

Great location, cute hotel, wonderful breakfast. It was hard to regulate the temperature in the room which is probably standard for a house as old as it is but it made sleeping a little tough because it got really hot. I also wish there was an option to log in to Netflix on the TV. All around a great stay and we’d stay again. The bikes were wonderful to have.

What a wonderful hotel, the antidote for those tired of corporate hotel groups. Our suite at the Nathaniel Lord Mansion was quirky and sumptuous. We loved the Victorian steps we needed to get into bed! Beautiful and private with vast lawns to enjoy late afternoon drinks ( there is a select wine store at the end of the road) we had a thoroughly relaxing time. Even took advantage of the free bikes to ride round the town. Breakfast was lovely with freshly baked goodies and coffee available at all times. Highly recommend

From the minute we set foot in this authentic, grand but incredibly cosy and welcoming property, we were bewitched! Sumptuous wallpapers, old wooden armoires and paintings set the scene of days gone by. But the eclectic furnishings kept it all a bit hip and fun. Reminded me of Kit Kemp interiors in the UK. Home baked cookies, chilled water and fruit station next to the coffee and tea station offered welcome refreshment after our long drive from Vermont. Our room had a raised bed with these cute velvet steps to climb up and jump in! Every modern amenity was available amidst this olde worlde grandeur. Bikes to borrow, beach chairs and towels also on tap for every adventure that awaited outside the property. Jump on a bike and go and ogle the Bush family compound on the waterfront, cycle past wood shingle beach houses and feast on lobster, chowder and mussels in the nearby town. Kennebunkport is a smiley, happy retreat from the world beyond it. A warm hug with the friendliest people. Doors aren’t locked at night and the masthead in the local paper reads: ‘Be the reason people smile today’. Enjoy sunset drinks on the Arundel Pier amidst the coloured lobster basket buoys, have dinner at Chez Rosa, Ultramar, Hurricanes, or Allison’s. You can’t miss in Kennebunkport, and Captain’s Collection is a rare gem just waiting to greet you and embrace you in a long lasting hug that will stay with you a long time! Excellent all around! Top quality, super service, very good breakfast, and a great location that is walkable to the heart of all Kennebunkport restaurants and shops. Has free use of bicycles to use for local exploration of nearby senic vistas.

When deciding where to go for a few days for our get-a-way, we knew it would be back to the William Jefferds Inn at the Kennybunkport Captains Collection. My husband, our 3 dogs and I couldn't wait to get back to our huge suite with full kitchen and living room that we stayed in last year. It was exactly the same, just as clean and magnificent! The beds are like sleeping on clouds and our suite was larger than our house! The food, once again, was plentiful and delicious. The entire staff couldn't be more helpful and kind, They were always checking to see if they could get us anything, do anything or if we needed our rooms refreshed. The Kennebunkport Captains Collection is an absolute must to stay at if you're anywhere close to this neighborhood in Maine!

Im Herzen von Kennebunkport, sehr gemütlich, modern und dennoch historisch, super sauber und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Alles war top. Kleines Manko: leider kein Aufzug, deswegen mussten die Koffer in die 3. Etage getragen werden. Aber man bot uns Hilfe an.
