Amazing stay! Clean rooms and amazing location. Loved the distance to restaurants, the ferry, and the beautiful Villa Monastero. This villa was recommended by the manager, Diana. It was so helpful having Diana nearby during our stay. She helped answer so many questions. During my stay there was an issue where a boulder fell on the train tracks. Before I even knew of this event, Diana already messaged me with an alternate plan of how I will best be able to get home. Great accommodation, great manager, great location. Cannot say enough great things! Loved taking the ferry to different locations during the day and being able to relax in this calm town upon my return. A must stay!

We have just had the most amazing stay at Casa Contrada Bella. From the moment we booked Diana was amazing with helping us get from the train station to sorting out restaurant bookings for us. We stayed in the Blue room for 7 nights and it was absolutely stunning . The fridge was always stocked with water, milk, juice. We were also left little homemade treats in our room which were delicious. The accommodation is in the most amazing area - a few steps away from the beach and also the square where we could enjoy drinks, coffees and wonderful ice cream. Staying in Varenna was fantastic as we were able to take the train from Milan along the lake to Varenna and then we were to get the ferries to various other resorts. Thank you Diana we will be back

We stayed in the Blue Room of Casa Contrada Bella for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The pictures on the website are accurate and the accommodations are even better in person. The best part of our stay actually was not the exceptional lodging, but the phenomenal manager, Diana. She goes above and beyond to make sure her guests have a flawless stay – priceless! Specifically, we were planning to take a train from Milan to Varenna. She alerted us to disruption in train service due to landslides caused by heavy rains and helped us brainstorm alternate transportation. We ended up taking a train from Milan to Como, and then a ferry from Como to Varenna. We met many frustrated people who were unprepared for the transportation snafus. Getting out of Varenna was equally challenging and she booked a taxi for us from Varenna to the Lecco train station. She also helped us book dinner reservations and left restaurant business cards with the dates/times of the reservations. It is rare to find someone who cares that their guests have a memorable experience vs someone who is just doing a job. This is why I give Casa Contrada Bella the highest rating possible.
