The hotel is very well located. You can walk to visit all the tourist attractions in the beautiful and well-preserved medieval town of Monsaraz. I booked the cheapest room available and although it was nicely decorated, I didn't like it because it was tiny and had no window, just a small skylight in the ceiling.
The breakfast was simple but tasty.

Un hébergement situé à l'intérieur de la forteresse. Difficile de se rendre en voiture, on doit utiliser le stationnement gratuit à l'extérieur des murs - 5 minutes de marche. Chambre petite mais propre. Bonne climatisation, lit confortable, salle de bain petite mais fonctionnelle. Préférable de s'enregistrer en après-midi car personne à la réception en soirée. Restaurants à proximité à divers prix. On vous recommande l'endroit si vous voulez vivre une aventure hors de l'ordinaire. Nous avons beaucoup aimé et nous sommes des retraités cool!

1° LER COM MUITA ATEN??O AS CRITICAS A ESTE AL(N?o é hotel nenhum de 4*,treta)... Um AL antiquado, a necessitar claramente de renova??o geral. Quartos de dificil acesso, quase sendo preciso ter conhecimentos de alpinismo...quarto ( de acesso à mobilidade reduzida segundo o dono...) tem uma casa de banho cheio de armadilhas com 2 degraus para aceder ao wc e mais 2 para o duche...mobilidade reduzida!!!!!! A misturadora do duche, nos 4 dias que lá estivemos, nunca funcionou...ou agua fria ou demasiada quente com o consequente gasto de agua...Questionámos a funcionária que encolheu os ombros ( jeito, que posso eu fazer, o patr?o sabe e n?o faz nada!! Há mais quartos assim!!!) naquele período de tempo, o quarto só foi limpo uma vez e a pedido...no penúltimo dia, nem cama feita, nem limpeza, nem mudan?a de toalhas...No último dia, no scheck out, solicitei facturas, que n?o puderam ser imprimidas por falta de tinteiros ( S?o caros, disseram-me...) os clientes que se lixem. Reclamei...novo encolhimento de ombros!!! Como escrevi no início: LEIAM AS CRíTICAS ANTES DE OPTAREM POR ESTE AL.. à 1a todos caiem, mas depois de avisados....!!!!

Estadia no centro de Monsaraz.
Muito bem integrado, limpo, quarto muito agradável, pessoal 5 estrelas. Pequeno almo?o correto / bom.

The check in was easy with parking nearby. We later found that you can drive in to the property to drop bags off and some people were parking there. Our room was fairly small but OK. The real problem was that therre was no opening windows and the air con was really only a weak fan which had no effect on the room temperature which was uncomfortable. We found out that we were not the only guests with this problem. There were no staff around to discuss the issue. I tried calling with no response.
I found the bed hard and uncomfortable but that may be a personal thing.
Breakfast was fairly standard but OK. There is a small roof terrace with old basic folding chairs in need of replacement.

What a little gem. In the middle of Monsaraz. Easy checkin would definitely stay again.

Room was wonderful, with traditional furnishings, like fairy tale. Unfortunately the whower didn’t work properly and some things like glass were missing. Staff unresponsive.

If you are driving it’s a bit nerve wracking both so worth it ! What a beautiful inn nestled in one of the nicest medieval towns in Portugal ! Pinch me views from rooms and terrace !

Localiza??o excelente, na cidade murada. A funcionária Sandra é muito solicita e cuida muito bem de tudo. O café da manh? é muito bom. Recomendo que entre com o carro até o hotel para deixar as bagagens e depois saia para estacionar em estacionamento gratuito próximo. O hóspede tem acesso a um terra?o agradável com uma bela vista. O quarto possuía uma decora??o temática meio duvidosa. Como existem vários quartos e a recep??o n?o funciona 24h, todos os hóspedes recebem a chave da porta da frente que é a mesma do quarto. Concluímos que a mesma chave também abre todos os quartos, o que nos deixou inseguros.
