"Clean, comfortable and well equipped" as the website states, is an under statement. I had made a booking on the Cathedral Motor Inn website 5 weeks in advance, for a deluxe queen room for 3 nights, intending to see the sights of Bendigo and surrounds whilst on a road trip through the Riverina region. On arrival, we were welcomed by Jack at reception and given the key to room 8 on the ground floor. He was very interested in what we had planned and suggested a few other places that may be of interest. One was The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, which we had no knowledge of but was worth the approximate 20-30 minute drive out of town. Our room was lovely. It was spotless with nice decor and the windows overlooked the leafy park next door. There was plenty of room to move around, a dining setting for 2 and a sofa to relax on after a day's sightseeing. There was a cupboard, a place to put a suitcase and everything needed in the kitchenette for our self catering holiday. The bathroom was very clean, roomy with modern tiling. The quite location and the comfortable bed allowed us a good night's sleep. This accommodation is within easy walking distance of the Visitor Information Centre, restaurants, shops and the heritage buildings a few streets behind the Main Street. Bonuses were the "Book now pay on arrival with free cancellation at least 24 hours prior" and also the free "guests laundry" which we made use of. We enjoyed our time in Bendigo and cannot fault our accommodation. Definitely recommend.

Conviently located (walk to town) & a very comfortable place to stay - have stayed here multiple times & never been disappointed. Staff are always friendly & accommodating. A microwave is a great bonus!

Great location, King suite room was fantastic for us all giving us plenty of room. Beds very comfortable and clean and well fitted out. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed in the Spa suite, room #2. It was lovley and clean. The customer service was excellent. The beds wer the mosr comfotrable firm bed I have slept on in a very long time. My only small complaint was the car parking, the room didnt have their own designeted car parking spaces and it was a case of first in first serve for one. Ther was on night that we were therr and the car park was full so we had to park a block way from the hotel. Other then that, it was a great place to stay

A lesson. First thing you should do in a motel room is check the TV remote control. Nothing spoils a night in a motel like a TV remote control that doesn’t work. Particularly with the set is tuned to Sky. Only Sky. Oh, the horror... The room did have a spa bath big enough to drain Bendigo’s water storage facilities but given the dry conditions we decided it wouldn’t be right. That just left Sky or nothing. Hmm, tough choice. I read a book. PS: If I'd had a TV to watch, the rating would have been 5 from 5. Roomy, good facilities, apologetic staff.

Most pleasant experience. Room was large and clean, parking was easy, access to city centre was easy walking. No traffic noise. I left a pair of trousers behind and got a call two hours after checking out when we were visiting the new Great Stupa monument complex just out of town (an unbelievable experience at a place we had never heard of until it was recommended). We had plenty of time to pick up the trousers before returning to Melbourne. Thank you to all involved in the extra effort.

Fantastic rooms, fantastic location and incredibly professional and friendly staff. Jack, you're a star. I left a cable and charger in my room after I left. Message came from the Motel quickly, in time before I left town so I was able to pick up. Just more of the personalised service. I recommend this motel to anyone.

We booked a family room for a long weekend. The room was actually split into 2 rooms , quite convenient so that the kids could have their own space. Great location - walking distance to Bendigo restaurants and tourist attraction. Will definitely stay again if we come back to Bendigo

Prior to check in phone calls with Lauren were very helpful. My check in was seamless, Connor was very professional and extremely helpful will queries that i had. My stay was incredibly comfortable the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great, the bathroom had individual shampoo and conditioner supplied and if any further needed they were available at reception. The room was very clean. The cleaners were very friendly asking if i needed anything and kindly provided extra supplies. My overall experience was amazing the team were very professional and friendly they were all a credit to the owner/Manager Jack whom was also very helpful. Thankyou

What a wonderful motel to stay in Bendigo. The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds to sleep in after a busy day walking. Shopping centres, venues to eat and a great coffee cafe next door. Bathrooms very spacious and a nice hot shower.All the linen used in bathrooms and bedding decor were fresh and clean.All ammenities are clean, microwave,coffee, tea, and yummy biscuits. Garden and parking areas neat and well maintained.Management and staff very friendly and greet you with a smile. We will certainly stay here on our next visit to Bendigo. Chris and Mike Clarke.
