Unique and special property in a great location

We had a wonderful stay at Ficahlo. The house and grounds are beautiful, and the family and staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were kept spotless and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in seeing the area.

Mom and daughter run a great B&B. Historic old house with a lot of character. They do anything to help. Great location - 2 blocks to old town, 3 blocks to the water. Not in the middle of the noise and crowds. House is on a huge lot, so you don't feel closed in. Free parking inside iron gate is very nice. Small pool and grounds to lounge around on. True old world charm and great mom and daughter running the place.

We have been spending our summer vacation the last five years in Portugal and this time we have found the most charming place so far. Chalet Ficalho is a heaven in Cascais, it's like stepping in a little old world paradise. And it's both, the very charming house, build 1887 for the Countess of Ficalho as summer residence and comfortable rooms. We stayed in room no 1 which has been spacious, with a very comfy bed and a sunkissed large bathroom with stand alone bath tub and a spacious walk in shower. Everything was impeccable clean and manicured Also the breakfast has been a reason to stay... delicious cakes, great eggs with crispy bacon, fresh orange juice. And for sure I have to mention, the beauty of the garden and the very tasteful designed pool But the reason to come back is the very charming owner, Maria told us a lot of nice stories, has given us great advice for finding nice little restaurants and suggestions for nice beaches We are looking forward to come back!

We spent two nights at Chalet Ficalho and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is stunning and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. If we visit Cascais again we will definitely be staying here!

It was a truly amazing chalet, we felt really welcome and comfortable there. My husband had a good poisoning from one of the restaurants outside and we wanted to thank Maria who took care of the mediation, gave us the meds, and advice and was always really warm and helpful. Pool and sunbeds - clean and chill Breakfast and also a Tea/Coffee time with cakes was amazing

Perfect!
We arrived VERY early because we had to drop off family at the Lisbon Airport but were welcomed nonetheless and shown to our room. We are talking about 8:30 am! The owner offered us breakfast and it was delicious. Breads, eggs, bacon, fresh orange juice. Free off street parking but close to everything. Truly the highlight of our trip. Owbers were so kind and nice and we wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed at Chalet Ficalho for two nights as a special treat and it was exactly that. The house has been beautifully renovated to a really high standard without losing its character. Our room was lovely and clean with a huge bed and great shower and lots of space. The house itself has a lovely calm feel to it and we even got to make use of the pool as we were lucky with the weather. It’s in a great location, easy for walking on the coast or into town. And finally the breakfasts were just delicious, lots of choice and the best quality ingredients. Thankyou Maria and team, we really hope to return sometime.

Loverly hotel with great staff. Breakfast superb, rooms superb and comfortable and great bathroom. Location excellent to walk to and around Cascais with local bars and restaurants 5 minutes away. Plus free parking. Remarkably old building that has a lot of history. Excellent.

Excellent petit déjeuner, lit très confortable avec chambre spacieuse (king room) , ma?tresse de maison aux petits soins , délicieuse qui parle parfaitement Fran?ais. Maison magnifique, très bien meublée ! Cernée par un beau jardin. Emplacement optimal , a l'abri du bruit de la ville.
