If you’re visiting Fes, I can thoroughly recommend Riad Chaq chaq. The place was immaculately clean with nice crisp quality sheets, comfortable beds and lovely home cooked Moroccan food. Abdu and Mustafa who run the Riad welcomed us as though we were family. We will definitely be back, especially for the breakfasts… thank you also for taking care good care of our specific dietary requirements. ??????????

Chaq Chaq is a 4 room riad in the Fes medina. You must walk to the riad, as there are no cars in the medina. Your bags will go by cart. Abdulhaqq Hauari is the manager, and he is wonderful. We only stayed one night, in a lovely room on the roof of the riad. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast before heading out. Note that Chaq Chaq does not serve alcohol (virtually no place in the Fes medina has a liquor license) nor does it have a restaurant. It is simply a place to rest and lay your head. We enjoyed our experience.

Mr. Abdulhaqq Houari is very receptive and prompt with all our accommodation questions. The property is a true Riad and it is very lovingly run by the generous Mustafa who is always there to make your stay comfortable. The staff was prompt in meeting us at the Medina gate and helped take our luggage and guide us to the Riad which is about 15 minutes walk. The property is a living , breathing building in the heart of the Medina and as such puts you the the midst of the wonderful experiences that Fez has to offer. The property has all modern amenities , the beds are very good and the linen is fresh . The property will provide for breakfast and other meals with advance confirmation. This suited us well , giving us the added opportunity to experience food outside the Medina. We thank all the staff at Chaq Chaq and wish them the very best. We recommend the Chaq Chaq for a true Riad experience. Wishing All a safe and fun travel . Marge Shukla

I stayed at Chaq Chaq for 3 nights recently and was a splendid experience. Once you walk inside, it just feels like you have been transported from the hectic medina into a completely different environment. But as with any experience, as beautiful as the premises are, service is also very important. I have to really give my props to Abdul and Mustafa, who were always there to answer questions and be the best hosts possible, so thank you both. We had a room with double beds and everything was functional. There is air con but no television. Nice breakfast each morning with eggs, bread and fruit. Awesome roof top access with tiny dipping pool and great panoramic views of the medina and hilltops. I do have to admit that finding the riad is hard. Even after 3 days, I still did not feel comfortable finding it. I studied it via google map before I landed and I thought I would be able to figure it out, but whatever plan I thought I had, it was completely thrown out the window once I walked past the gates from Bab Rcif. Google maps is not great once you get into the small alleys. Ignore kids and even some adults saying the road is closed, as it's just a way to get them to lead you in a loop and get some money off you. Trust me, I fell for this scam even though I read it beforehand too. Best advice is to see if you can arrange for a meetup outside Bab Rcif with someone from the riad.

Chaq Chaq is located in Medina and central/walkable to all the amazing sights and sounds. The staff, Abdu and Mustafa made our stay wonderful and memorable.

Absolutely gorgeous place with the most amazing staff, Abdul Haq and Mustafa really pulled out all the stops to make sure we felt at home - although Fes feels about as far away from London as you can get in just 3hrs. An electrifying place full of really nice locals, amazing shops, sounds, sights and atmosphere.
