We have stayed at Cherry End 3 times - (same time each year). Every time we are given a good welcome and Steve 'always goes the extra mile'; making breakfast as we like it and even buying the yoghurts that we particularly enjoy. We have always stayed in the back room. The bed is very comfortable and all the linen smells very fresh. There are personal touches which make you feel 'at home'.

Good points: 1. Room was light and bed was comfortable 2. Good location for exploring Chichester and parking good 3.Room seemed clean Poor: 1. En-suite ridiculously small & in need of upgrading 2. Towels had to be outside the en suite which made washing/showering uncomfortable 3. Chest of drawers fitted with handles with the fixing bolts sticking thro’ to the inside of the drawers which were rough. 4. The main wardrobe had a blanket thrown into the base & on top was bedding in a heap. 5. Dog made us feel uncomfortable & was allowed in dining room & kitchen 6. Cooked breakfast over cooked - bacon was hard & eggs overcooked. There was no fresh or dried fruit available. All condiments were in paper packets, jam and marmalade were of very poor quality in small plastic cartons. A cafetière of coffee would have been welcome. Toast was of poor quality thin sliced bread & served flat on plates instead of in a toast rack. Orange juice &yoghurt were allocated to us with no choice. On our first day washing up /clearing was happening in the adjoining kitchen while we were still eating breakfast.

We always enjoy our annual trip to Cherry End as part of our visit to Goodwood for the festival of speed. Genial hosts Steve & Fiona make us feel welcome in their home, and their dog Monty is a cute and cuddly family pet who is happy to accept fuss and scratches from guests. Breakfast is plentiful, with an option of a full English should you wish. The B&B is centrally located on a quiet street, with town and all its amenities easily accessible. The bus and train stations are within walking distance also, and Steve is happy to suggest interesting places to visit. All in all a very comfortable place to stay.

We have had a lovely experience with Steve at Cherry End. The room was cosy and nice and the bathroom gigantic, it even has a bidet, which I very much appreciate. Steve cooks a lovely full English breakfast and is a great host. We would definitely recommend this lovely B&B.

Great base to explore the area,City,Arundel etc 10 min walk to city centre Cathedral shops,restaurants Steve the owner couldn't do enough. Room very comfortable, bathroom small but not an issue Breakfast excellent Free parking with permit supplied by owner

Room 2 - small, dusty, in need of decoration. Overpriced, a great disappointment. Shower room measured 2 ft x 10ft only, old sanitary ware. Had to stand half in bedroom to dry oneself. No linen bedsheets, feather pillows, biscuits or homemade jams as stated on website. Left knowing had been ripped off. Host affable, breakfast and location good.
