Great stay near Chimp trekking. Fantastic food, beautiful rooms, great service. Nice, small pool area. Lodge seems very new and beautifully appointed

I am currently enjoying the last night of a three day stay at Chimpundu lodge. The lodge has been outstanding and superceeded my expectations. Thanks to all of the team at front desk, thats Tracie (Manager) and Bridget and also the food and beverage team, thats Douglas, Brian and Joseph. A special mention to Douglas who was assigned to look after us for all our meals and was excellent in his care and service. Also thanks to all those unsung heroes behind the scenes who make this lodge work so efficiently. I must mention the delicious and hugely proportioned meals which are made to order by the very talented chef. Loved the food, food choices and desserts! We were upgraded to the Safi 3 family cottage with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rooms were very comfortable and beautiful. Our cottage looked over the forest and today I saw baboons, black and white colubus monkeys and hornbills. The location is fantastic and very convenient if you are coming to Kibale to see the chimpanzee's as its only a few minutes drive to the entrance. I'd also suggest staying another night to do the crater lakes hike and village walk, where you get to see local people and local life.

If you are visiting Chibale Nation Park to see the Chimpanzee this is where you want to stay. Outstanding service, food and accommodations. The rooms are spacious, clean and set in an amazing forest setting. The staff are professional , helpful , and go out of their way to provide the top level service.

Two of us spent 3 fantastic, unforgettable nights at Chimpundu lodge, 2 minute drive from the entrance to the Chimp trekking experience. The lodge itself is extremely well appointed, but keeps a relaxed rustic charm with a modern twist. Tracey and her team including Bridget at reception, Brian and Joseph at the restaurant and a special mention about Douglas, who was our personal waiter, whose service was exemplary. Thank you Tracey for giving us an upgrade to a family cottage, which was our beautiful "home"for 3 nights, with 2 separate bathrooms and bedrooms and a large sit out balcony in the midst of the rainforest. The food was superb, always piping hot, delicious and well presented. Every dish was made to order and we were thoroughly spoilt. Whilst there, we did the Chimpanzee experience, which was a must to do, very authentic and on returning to Chimpundu, we were greeted by Joseph and Douglas with a pair of slippers ro wear whilst they took our hiking boots to clean. Everything was done with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. I was made to feel very special and that's a credit to the ethos and values of the whole team. It was truly special and we would love to return one day! Thank yimou to all the staff at Chimlundu.

Most enjoyable stay for my wife and me. The best place to stay for the “Jane Goodall” experience. Traveled with a small group provided by Gate1 travel.

During our Uganda/Rwanda travels, we stayed at Chimpundo Lodge. We rate them AAA+!!!! The accommodations were extremely comfortable and top notch, the food deliciously indescribable, and the staff - fabulous!! Everyone at the lodge was welcoming, helpful and very friendly, especially our dear Joseph and Tracy! Thank you all for making our stay amazing!

The minute I met Charles (my guide), I knew I was in for a great time and I certainly was not disappointed. Even though the journey from Entebbe was long, there was always some interesting talk and information shared. He was with me throughout my journey and was a gem! Super fun, kind and very caring. Nothing was too much. Arriving at this beautiful lodge was a pleasure! A breath of fresh air - literally as you are surrounded by the beautiful vistas of the forest! The staff were super welcoming and the check-in was efficient. The rooms are tastefully decorated with everything you need. The view from the bath tub was my favourite afternoon ritual. The warm team make it most memorable for me. All were engaging and very genuine. Do not miss the steam bath and Maureen's deep tissue massage!! Shout out to Charles, Maureen, Mark, Joseph, Brian, Tracy and Bridget for everlasting memories.

Chimpundu Lodge is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and provide a great service. A special mention to Joseph who ensured my time at Chimpundu was memorable. The rooms are very big, clean and well maintained. The meals were lovely and large servings, well done chef ! The lodge is also very close to the Chimpanzee trek starting point. I would definitely recommend this lodge if visiting Kibale.

We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen in deze mooie lodge! De kamers hebben een prachtige ligging tussen de bomen en staan ver uit elkaar met magnifiek uitzicht en zijn van alle gemakken voorzien. Dit is de enige lodge die heel erg dichtbij de chimpansee trekking ligt. Andere apen lopen ook rond bij deze lodge. Het eten is fantastisch. We werden verwend met allerlei lekkers en telkens iets anders. Heerlijke drankjes op het terras en ook het diner werd geserveerd op dit mooie sfeervolle terras!

WOW. This place really is stunning. Exceptional service, Joseph was so kind and attentive during our stay. The rooms are gorgeous, clean, spacious, and the beds very comfortable. At night, they have a turn down service with pillow chocolates and a bedtime story left on your bed. I love this place so much.
