I visited with a friend who ran a bed and breakfast in both the Borders and Yorkshire who was very impressed. We were welcomed with bright Christmas decorations and by a smiling host. The views were stunning beds comfortable and the breakfast set us up for the day. THANK YOU!

At ￡40 for Dinner it was a disgrace. Vegetables totally overcooked and inedible. Chocolate sauce on brownies was burnt Never again Pillows very worn Bathroom window painted up so could not open. Only one window in the bedroom was open and the sash cord was broken

An Unforgettable Stay From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a brilliant and welcoming host who instantly made us feel at home. The room was absolutely lovely—spacious, beautifully presented, and offering a breathtaking view that we couldn’t stop admiring. The in-room facilities were excellent, with everything you could possibly need, and a special mention must go to the softest towels I’ve ever had the pleasure of using—pure luxury! Dinner was a real highlight. The 3-course meal was exceptional, starting with the best cheese soufflé I have ever tasted—light, rich, and full of flavour. This was followed by a perfectly cooked beef bourguignon with fresh vegetables, and for dessert, my guilty pleasure: a decadent chocolate brownie, beautifully served and accompanied by freshly brewed coffee. Simply divine. Breakfast the next morning was equally impressive, with an extensive menu offering both cold and hot options, all cooked to order. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The host was truly perfect—attentive, thoughtful, and couldn’t do enough to help. Their hospitality really made the stay extra special. I will absolutely be back again. A fantastic experience from start to finish!

Stayed on numerous occasions over the last few years, Food and hospitality always second to none . All the staff always very friendly and welcoming, my two Labradors love their stay too??

When you walk into Clint Lodge it is like warm arms going round you. It is so welcoming & relaxing. The food is of the highest standard, the accommodation & beds are very comfortable. I would quite happily retire here. I am so pleased I have discovered this little treasure.

Warm welcome in a lovely house and very relaxing 3 days. Great room with very comfortable bed in an amazing setting with wonderful views over the Tweed Valley. Suzy’s food is excellent and she and Katie really looked after us. Good walking around Dryburgh Abbey and St Boswells. Clint Lodge is a gem. Looking forward to coming back.

The end of a long first day on the St. Cuthbert's Way, but a very good reception and wonderful accommodation. It is a mile or two beyond St Boswells, but the views are extraordinary, particularly from the bedroom we had. Big rooms and wonderful food as well - both our evening meal and breakfast. It does not have an alcohol license so make sure you bring something along if you are that way inclined.

Very welcoming hostess into lovely traditional house. Extremely comfortable bedroom, glorious views over beautiful country. Secluded and quiet but close to Melrose and other Border towns. Two delicious dinners and excellent breakfasts. Absolutely perfect!

A very pleasant quiet house overlooking the gentle countryside of the Scottish Borders. Our stay was faultless, the rooms being clean and comfortable; the breakfasts excellent. We were treated in a way that was both good-humoured and professional, unfailingly helpful and friendly.
