This is the second time we have spent our holiday in Cloudberry. And for sure we will be back again. Cloudberry is a wonderful and truly relaxing place in Kalyves. Anna and Ulf are the perfect hosts. Friendly, serviceminded in a discreet and relaxed manner. The hotel is small and intimate. Rooms are very clean, fresh and bright reflecting a Scandinavian style with a mediterrean twist. Beds are Nice and soft, kitchen well-equipped and bathroom clean and nice. Nice location close to the beach, town and everything you need. Really refreshing to see such a nice hotel/apartment in Greece. Will definetely recommend this place anytime. Best rgds Lars & Michael from Denmark

My partner and I stayed here one night for a wedding reception nearby and we were staying in the Falasarna area, too far to drive after partying! The Cloudberry was a perfect choice. We reserved online and arrived a bit early but the delightful owners, Anna and Ulf, were happy to let us check-in. Our unit was perfectly comfortable and ideal for our needs. Before we departed for the wedding, we sat on the lawn in one of the chaise lounges, taking in the amazing view of Kalyves Beach, Souda Bay and the surrounding terrain. What a location! Situated on a steep hill, the dazzling white building kind of said 'Cool Inside' to us on this super-hot day! And COOL it was! There is convenient free parking 500 feet away, a nice perk. From our unit, we had a delightful view; the beds were super comfortable and there is a small efficient kitchenette and spotless bathroom with overhead shower that was very nice! We were not there that long, about 21 hours, but it was peaceful and serene, we had a good night's rest and an enjoyable time here. Highly recommend this heavenly spot with super sweet and friendly owners, a Garden of Eden-like setting high above the cerulean sea.

Beautifully decorated & very well designed studios. The views across the town & bay were amazing from our ground floor terrace & the gardens are lovely. Very helpful owners. Only drawback is the elevated location which we found a bit challenging as my husband & I have some mobility problems. We found the shortcut to the beach & tavernas a bit difficult but still managed it & used alternative route in the dark. All the other guests at the apartments had no problems & if you are reasonably fit the location with its views is a definite bonus. So happy we chose Cloudberry for our 5 night stay in Kalyves.

The location is good for views, but not for easy access, or for people with mild to severe mobility. The quoted 'meters to the beach' is slightly misleading, as this involves walking down mildly hazardous steps, across a gravel car park, and down an incline it's not simply a matter of crossing the road! The uphill journey is really challenging, especially in the heat, or after a heavy meal. It would be quite dangerous at night as there is no lighting. The alternative to the shortcut is also an uphill struggle via the residential street. You really must consider this if you have any mobility issues whatsoever. The accommodation is nice and minimalistic, it has everything you need; probably more than you need in the kitchen area. The beds are soft and cozy, with plenty of storage, and some really nice touches. It's safe and secure and lone females would feel perfectly comfortable here. The views are definitely stunning, and it's a peaceful and calm environment. Personally, I wasn't 'that' impressed with the cleanliness. It was only OK. Although beds were freshened up daily, the bathroom sink area had the same marks on it for days, and the loo wasn't properly cleaned. Not sure why clean towels were removed, and I was left with the same bath towel for 3 days! (I'm probably more nit-picky than some people as I'm a past Airbnb super host, so I know what to look for.... sorry!) The owners were conspicuous by their absence, I saw them briefly 3 times in 7 days, and the reception area is completely deserted all the time, with a 'contact number' but it felt like the Marie Celeste. Just nobody around. It just kind of felt left to manage itself. Maybe the ethos is to be non-intrusive, but I've never stayed in a place before where the owners did NOT come out and say Goodbye and thanks for coming. Very odd. Overall it was only OK, I wouldn't go back, but others go back year after year, perhaps their experience was better than mine.

Very nice hotel and amazing views. Clean room and very comfortable bed. The beach was great and clean. We did always eat at the restaurant on the beach and never cook in the kitchen. We always walked to the beach and it took us we about 3-5 minutes
