Large room, great staff, restaurant looked nice but we didn't have time to test it!

We stay in an executive room during summer every year, as we have friends living in the area. Although a little dated now, it’s always clean and the service is consistently high. Comfortable bed and air conditioning ensures a great sleep.

We had a wonderful stay at Comfort Flames! We stayed for 10 days while visiting family in Whangarei and it was the perfect oasis. The convenience of the room service was unmatched, especially as I am pregnant and have to eat first thing in the morning to not get sick. Raewyn was so hospitable and kind, as were the rest of the staff. The view from our room was beautiful and the aircon made it so comfortable at all times of day. We will definitely stay here in the future and would highly recommend to anyone!

Holly at the desk and everywhere it seemed did a great job settling me in. Very efficient and friendly. The room was great with a nice view. I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood chowder for dinner.

The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and keen to help you with any request . We had room sevice of the beef burger and chips , not to be missed as it was delicious. Then for breakfast we couldnt resist the cakes which definitely are delicious!It was great to have an area to wash my clothes . Definitely recommended thos place .

Booked online, but when we arrived the room was already given to someone else. Computer glitch. Booked king bed. Staff accommodated us into a 2 queen room. Room smelt musty and like cigarette smoke. This caused asthma and not a pleasant stay. Stairs to get to rooms Shower was great high water pressure and towel rail heaters worked really well.

Hi there,
I wasn’t very happy with my stay as the beds were stained.
Also the toilet was filthy and the shower head was broken.
Was wanting a refund as we ended up leaving early
