This place wasn't quite as good as I expected although if you were going to watch or participate in rowing it would be fantastic. It's just over the road from the domain. However, I was disappointed overall. The room was smallish and a bit shabby with not particularly good quality bedding or furnishings. It was cold when we stayed and there was only a small oil radiator that took a long time to warm the room. No electric blanket. The bathroom was absolutely frigid with no heater at all. The kitchen area was adequate but poorly lit, and you could only have room lights all on or off at once, so getting up to make a cup of tea meant the person in bed also had to have full lights. The breakfast was 'continental', left in the room the previous evening: canned peaches with yogurt, bread for toasting and friands, bananas etc, but no hot option. We did have a lovely time in the spa pool out under the stars and robes (synthetic not cotton, so rather unpleasant on the skin) are provided. Overall I think this place is too expensive (we paid $250 a night) for what it provides, especially compared to other similarly priced places we stayed at. The price would only be worth it during rowing events.
