We stayed at the Private Residence as a group of Kiwis on holiday and absolutely loved it. Beautiful beachfront location, loads of space for everyone, and the villas were spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Great spot to relax, eat well, and enjoy Fiji together — highly recommend!

Our stay at De Vos Fiji was absolutely amazing. The bures are very spacious, private, and extremely romantic. The outdoor showers were a highlight such a beautiful experience while the indoor showers were a great added comfort. The sunsets are simply stunning and unforgettable. Watching the sun set right from the property was magical. The food was delicious and truly authentic, with every meal prepared beautifully. Being located right on the beach made it easy to snorkel and kayak straight from the shore. What really stood out was the hospitality. It was warm, genuine, and next level. The staff made us feel so welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Highly recommend De Vos Fiji for anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic, and authentic Fijian getaway. We would love to return!

Our group had the most incredible time at De Vos – The Private Residence. We’ve actually stayed here before as a family, and once again it was just as wonderful — it really is one of those places that gets it right every single time. A huge thank you to Annemarie and the amazing onsite crew, who looked after us so well the entire time. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and there was always such a happy, relaxed vibe around the place with music, laughter and big smiles everywhere you went. Thank you to Toni and the team in the kitchen the food was absolutely delicious and so plentiful — every meal was fresh, beautifully cooked and always something to look forward to. It was so nice not having to think about anything and just enjoy being together as a group. Even though there were a lot of us, it never felt crowded. We all had our own private rooms with ensuites, and every morning we woke up to a spotless house. Being called to meals and activities by the drums was such a cool touch and really added to the whole Fiji experience. Theres so much to do — snorkelling, swimming, kayaking, volleyball, boat trips, kava ceremonies, BBQs, bonfires, massages, beach walks, singing, dancing and just relaxing by the ocean. The snorkelling was a real highlight — so many beautiful fish right off the beach. This is honestly the perfect place for group stays. You get the privacy of your own rooms, but all the shared spaces make it easy to spend time together, relax and make memories. Everything is set up so groups can just enjoy themselves without worrying about a thing. We keep coming back because it’s always such a special experience

Where to begin....we stayed at De Vos - The Private Residence for our brother and sister in laws wedding. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, the resort and the staff were incredible. Toni, Rita, Loreena, Josie, Lo Gee, Ilivani, Marlene, Juu just to name a few were great from the moment we arrived. Annemarie and Ryan went above and beyond putting us up for an extra 4 days when our other accommodation fell through and making room for other whanau members to stay at De Vos. Also Ken who helped out and let some of our other whanau stay at his accommodation as well. We definitely had our ups and downs on the trip but De Vos was all positive. The facilities and activities that they offer are great and the pool was amazing definitely fave to cool off and relax in moments of chaos. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. It was sad to leave but it's not goodbye, just see ya later. We will be back for sure. You all welcomed us into your family and we welcomed you into ours. Nicole & Grace

We went to fiji for a holiday and left with a family ??, we are so incredibly grateful for all your hardwork, your kindness and for going over and above to make sure our wedding day/ holiday was exceptional, and exceptional it was!. Shout out to all the staff! You have no idea how much caleb and I appreciate each and everyone of you, our whole family can't stop talking about how amazing and kind you all are. The team surpassed all our hopes, making us feel warmly welcomed and completely relaxed, creating an environment filled with happiness and laughter. Their commitment was remarkable as they helped us design a wedding experience we will always cherish. The room was not only spacious and elegantly decorated but also comfortable, offering stunning views of the beautiful beach. The resort featured numerous secluded spots perfect for enjoying serene vistas. Most importantly, it exuded a luxurious atmosphere while being conveniently close to various amenities. Our greatest gratitude goes to toni our chef who fed us exceptionally well 3 times a day, the food went above all expectations and was exceptional We are certain we will come back!

The staff was everything great about this quaint authentic Fijian stay. The staff’s authentic joy, kindness and hard work was shown in absolutely everything they did from welcoming us, to cooking, cleaning, to finding excursions, sharing their culture and helping us with anything in their control. We Enjoyed the large pool, and many of our group got massages in the morning after breakfast. Breakfast was lovely and was a whole big different spread each morning! We also had a few lunches and some dinners that were lovely as well :) The property was lovely for relaxing in the morning for sunrise. You can see sunrise and sunset from the back deck! There were 17 of us and enough space for all of us to not be on top of each other. The only un- Fijian thing about this accommodation was the owner of the property. She was only there the first day, didn’t individually introduce herself to all the paying guests, just a general hello. There were multiple problems with the facilities including no hot water for half the guests. We thought we would see her personally to at least come and apologize for not having things up to par, and we didn’t see her when she left. She lives somewhere nearby. It was clear to me, that the money isn’t being put back into the care of that property. Which we deserve, as well as the hardworking people of the Resort deserve as much hard work as they put into everything. This house needs intense upkeep, but I will say, we did enjoy the authentic experience. It made us appreciate all the things we do have at a hand’s notice, and this house did humble us all, and we are truly happy with that. Thank you for sharing your culture, people and ultimately yourselves with us! We will absolutely be coming back to Fiji! Bring your mosquito repellents though… Truly it was an amazing experience! Book it, just be ready for those things , it didn’t ruin the trip, just made it more authentic. Venaka Vakavelu!

16 of us from Australia and New Zealand converged on the incredible De Vos Residence crew with the wonderful Sue overseeing! Nothing was ever too much for them. Colee, we all fell in love with you and can't wait to be back to see you all again! It shows that you all love working there with one another, there is always music, smiles, dancing and laughter! The meals were incredible and abundant with special mention of the fluffy pancakes Rita makes who was also kept very busy with massages on the beach, sooo relaxing listening to the waves. Volleyball, kava ceremony, BBQ, swimming, horse riding, kayaking, surfing, hair braiding, singing, dancing, bonfire, eating, sleeping, eating again, reading, sun bathing, laughing and laughing, massages, relaxing, walking, boat trips and my absolute favorite, snorkeling! So many beautiful fish to see! Even though there were 16 of us, we had our own privacy with our separate rooms and ensuite. Every morning we woke to a spotless house and were called for meals and events by the beating of the drums which sounded fantastic and could be heard from wherever you were on the property. We have decided as a family that we will be coming here for our holidays from now on, our experience was so wonderful! Vinaka vaka levu to you all!! See you soon ?? The Roddis family

Coly loved making cocktails and looking after you and laughter and music was easy to come by.
