One of the best premier inns in Dundee always a pleasure great staff great restaurant and clean accomodation I was in accessable room met all my needs

Our room was lovely & clean - breakfast excellent. Check in was a nightmare - only one poor chap to serve a huge queue of mostly families with young children. Checking in online was a waste of time - doesn't link up with their computer system. The reception area was in much need of new carpet & lick of paint. The dining room carpet was a mess in the morning at breakfast - a friendly cleaner started vacuuming at 9 am while punters were eating. Obviously staffing issues.

We had to come up for a funeral. But the hotel was excellent as I am disabled and in a wheelchair so I have to be practical. But I love this hotel its always very appealing the service is excellent and the rooms are spacious even for a wheelchair user. The staff are welcoming and friendly ??.

The hotel is in good location, rooms are spacious Comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Cleanliness need improvement mainly in the bathroom

Our room was very comfortable and spotless. We enjoyed drinks in the bar before our meal in the restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will be back.

Chose a nights stay to explore Dundee as free breakfast was on offer and new premier plus rooms were available. Have stayed twice before in the past. Free parking though you have to register your car on checking in. Room as expected. Good size, comfortable bed. The only down side for me is that the plus rooms only have showers and this seems like a downgrade for me. Mirror , hairdryer set up , stool etc to get ready sort of feels like you are a mountain goat on a cliff edge. Staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Had a meal in the attached beefeater restaurant. This was fine and reasonable value if you use a buy one get one free coupon that are sent to me. Bit annoyed that my first choice of main meal was not available only to overhear the couple at the table beside us ordering the same meals within an hour later and they weren’t told not available etc!! Breakfast was on a cooked to order basis and we had to select a time to eat which I’m not too happy about as you don’t know when you’re going to be ready to eat. Took ages for my order to be taken. My toast was made, cold and eaten before anyone came near to take our order for cooked food. Whilst not great for me it was okay and my partner said it was one of the best he’d had. Think they could do with one of the robotic carpet shampoo machines to clean the carpets in the restaurant during the night. Stains really not a good look.

Awful check in with the two ladies in charge slow and unhelpful although appreciate a group wanting seven separate rooms and separate payments didn’t help!A machine not working so when the manageress turned up she said how easy was to sort and criticised her staff for not sorting it out !Both female staff when we got to finally check in were unhelpful in the extreme with our booking! the next morning the receptionist was totally helpful and sorted everything out! The lady on reception was awful and her manager as bad! Rooms good but breakfast slow and cooked not buffet so took for ever!

I want to highlight how flexible and helpful the hotel manager was, going over and beyond to accommodate. The premier inn hotels are always fit for purpose however this really stood out! Thank you!

We had always believed Premier Inns to be upmarket compared to Travelodge, but this hotel was not. The shower had low pressure and was not hot. There was no anti-slip protection on the floor of the bath. The mattress was comfortable but the bed was very high and difficult for us to get into. The room and public areas smelled stale, were tired and not well maintained.

Premier Inn Dundee West staff on both occassions have been fastastic as nothing was too much trouble. Additional heating was provided with staff arranging and bringing it to the room within 10mins of the request. Room was clean, tidy and what you woud expect to get for this pricepoint unlike Travelodge in Tunbridge Wells where we ended up having to clean the room first before we could sleep. The staff in the attached Beefeater during breakfast were really helpful and thouthfull. When my son ordered his breakfast without mushrooms and I said that I would eat his portion they provided it in a seaparate bowel so it did not contaminate the rest of his breafast. Just little trinkets of thought goes along way.
