Fantastic location. Great view from the balcony. Hotel staff was very friendly and very responsive to questions. Overall a great experience!

Hotel non consigliato per famiglia per vari motivi: - non esiste un parcheggio, la struttura non ne prevede uno, all’accoglienza nessuno ce l’ha detto, e in generale abbiamo impiegato anche più di 30 minuti per trovare posto auto e rientrare in hotel ogni giorno ad ogni uscita ( intorno solo parcheggi per residenti) - una struttura simile, dovrebbe prevedere un sevizio parcheggio anche a pagamento extra - Elia Estia non ha ascensore, va da sè che anziani e bambini vanno in difficoltà - rumori, cattivi odori tutto il giorno e la notte musica alta - servizio accoglienza 0, io receptionist che ci ha accolto non ci ha dato molte info, nè ci ha accompagnati fino alla camera, anzi ci ha lasciati giù con valigie, passeggino e una bimba che dormiva in braccio - la cucina non è adatta per preparare pasti più completi - frigo mini - letto scomodo Aspetti postivi: servizio pulizia ogni giorno con cambio biancheria e vista spettacolare. Forse l’aspetto peggiore è stato l’assenza di parcheggio, che a mio avviso va comunicato prima.

The room had everything we needed, comfortable bed, balcony, powerful shower, sofa and kitchenette. Beds were made up everyday. Everyone was friendly, helpful and made us feel so welcome. Would definitely go back again

Nice location with lovely views over the town and harbour. Caution: reception and breakfast room at 2 other different locations, albeit within walking distance

Beautiful hidden gem. The most amazing view from our balcony. Staff were amazing and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

Awful experience! Upon arrival we were told there was no shuttle service available and we would have to walk 15 min from the bus station in a heat advisory with our luggage. We were not able to secure an early check in so we walked around as they don’t have a real lobby. The small lobby they do have is extremely warm even with fans blowing. Here’s the juicy part, there is no where on the ad where it states the room is located away from where you check in. We had to walk some more up a hill through the town on cobblestone. The only decent part was they had a guy help with the luggage. Upon getting to the actual room, we were told there is NO ELEVATOR and we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. For someone with previous knee injuries, this was not ideal. Getting into the room we sat on a hard as a wooden board couch, and although the building is old, it just wasn’t clean. It was quite dusty and we ended up wiping everything down. After 1 night we decided we could not keep hiking those stairs everyday of the trip. I went to the reception desk to inform them of all the issues and rather than an apology for their lack of transparency about the state of the property and the lack of amenities, I was met with constant argument. I checked out and requested a refund for the remaining days as we had to find another hotel and was told by them they could not do so. I had ******* contact them and they doubled down. DO NOT STAY HERE! These people are dishonest and not helpful!

We are certainly sorry to learn that your stay did not match your expectations.Please, be assured that your feedback is invaluable to us, since it helps us improve or services.Regarding the shuttle service, it is unfortunate that there was a confusion relating to that. Please, allow us to clarify again that during high season, our transportations have to be organized at least one day before and, for the last moment ones, the waiting list on the telephone, in order to book one, is a long one, usually taking more than 20 minutes. Had we known that it would have been preferrable for you to use a taxi, even if that meant you would have to wait for 30 minutes approximately, we would have taken care of that. Concerning check-in procedure and the elevator issue, we would like to reassure you that, after double checking with *******, we can confirm that it is clearly stated, in the property amenities and accessibility, as well as in the check-in information, that Elia Estia does not provide a Reception desk and check-in takes place in our Reception of Elia Zampeliou Hotel, and that the property does not have an elevator. On the other hand, we can certainly understand that 3 flights of stairs is not ideal for people with knee injury and we would like to thank you for your positive feedback on the assistance from our colleague. We are also sorry to hear that your room condition was not ideal. Did you call the front desk to see if there was another room available? We would have gladly offered an alternative, if we had been notified for that. Both our 24-hour Receptions are available, to look into and rectify any issue. With reference to your request for a refund, our refund policies are very specific and are always followed accordingly. We really hope the issue was made clear, after your communication with ******* and we are certainly available for further discussion, if you wish so. Please, do not hesitate to contact us at any time. Again, we would like to thank you for giving us a detailed account of your stay and sharing your feedback with us accordingly. On that note, we will be glad to welcome you again in the future and to offer you a better experience, much closer to your expectations, in case you need another night’s sleep in a possible future visit of yours to Chania city.
