Hot showers, decent and plenty of food - just ask for more if you’re not happy with the initial portion sizes. Breakfast is a bit repetitive but it’s not a big deal. Loads of choice at dinner. Rooms are a bit dated but alright for a 3* hotel. There is a fridge and a hairdryer. Rooms are lovely and warm with incredible views. I didn’t find the rooms noisy - I took ear plugs and didn’t use them. Beds are quite firm, but comfortable and pillow fine. No kettle but can get hot water at the bar, it’s no trouble. The staff work so incredibly hard. They don’t stop. There are not many of them for the size of the hotel but in fairness, due to their massive efforts and long hours I never waited around or went without. Hotel is perfectly clean. Clean towels, clean beds, rooms hoovered and tidied every day. Communal areas always clean. The only thing I would say they need to improve is the ‘atmosphere’ in the communal spaces. Some light music, cosy furnishings, decorations etc. it feels a little soulless. Great ski in/ski out location. Decent boot room, good ski store. A good deal with the crystal ski hire meant that they delivered our skis and boots to the hotel and then picked them up! Bonus! I can’t fault this hotel and I would return. Final point - the skiing was great despite us having no snow all week. The resort has amazing snow making going on and runs opening all the time.

L'albergo ha uno stile anni 90, ma e' estremamente pulito e confortevole, ben tenuto. Lo staff è il fiore all'occhiello, sono stati tutti fantastici, sempre disponibili, gentili e sorridenti, in tantissime occasioni si sono mostrati felici di aiutare. Il cibo è di buona qualità, piatti diversi per ogni sera, le porzioni sono servite dal personale e si può riavere le portate più volte (cosa che personalmente ho apprezzato molto, viste le esperienze in altri alberghi dove i soliti egoisti lasciavano sui tavoli piatti strapieni di avanzi, limitando il cibo a chi arrivava dopo). Mio figlio di 7 anni è stato molto felice e il personale si è mostrato gentilissimo chiamandolo sempre per nome.

Siamo stati ospiti di questo hotel dal 03-08 al 07-08 due adulti e una bimba di 10 anni buona posizione per camminate e la vicina seggiovia per trasferimento in quota, ottima colazione e varia, ottima anche la cena grande varietà con prodotti tipici e stagionali per noi personalmente porzioni abbondanti il personale tutto molto gentile e disponibile sia in sala che alla reception, infine pulizia curata e precisa; molto consigliato

Your experience here really depends on the room. We were given ground floor rooms looking out into the car park which were large but incredibly noisy! Every time anyone in the hotel flushed a toilet we could hear it as the pipes must have been in the walls. We asked to move but there were no others available. We hadn’t booked these ‘accessible’ rooms! The staff are what make this place, with the exception of the male owner who spends his days smoking. The smell of smoke is sadly everywhere in the communal areas. Food is really great and the female owner is wonderful.

I returned to Pila in January, a fixed stop every year for me and my husband.. This year we stayed for the first time in this wonderful hotel and... what to say???!!! It was a pleasant surprise!! Near the slopes, all so easy! Everything was organized in every detail... from dinner to our arrival in the late night, to the shuttle to the ski rental the next morning. The hotel has old furniture but it is very clean and comfortable, rooms are clean, spacious and warm.. The food is very good and varied and with a lot of choice, especially at the buffet.. But the real strength was the staff. We arrived very late, and two girls were waiting for us with a kind smile! They was so helpful for all the week and they always was ready to listen every request. Also all the rest of the staff, from waiters to cleaning women. Everyone works hard but always with smile and kindness.. really lovely people! There was a nice friendly and family atmosphere. We felt comfortable! We'll be back!
