The B&B is close to the town centre of Westport and beautifully decorated by the hosts, Julian and Rachel. Breakfast was also excellent and both Julian and Rachel make feel at home. I highly recommend this b&b for your stay in Westport our surroundings.

Wonderful experience at Five Ferns! The hosts went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and as wonderful as possible. Place is kept very clean and the food superb. We were treated so well by Julian and Rachel - they are now considered friends and we would very much like to go back and visit again. Keep up the good work - our holiday was worth every cent!

Rachel and Julian were so nice from the minute we arrived, the breakfast you would not have got nicer in a hotel,fabulous garden with their own home grown vegetables and hens,their home is so peaceful. We were made so welcome would highly recommend

Very comfortable lodging with hosts that truly know how to run a B&B Very good breakfast.. The room was light and airy and spacious. Rachel and Julian are great hosts with wonderful advice for what to do and see. They are very knowledgeable about the area. We so wish we could have stayed longer and followed more of their suggestions. We also enjoyed chatting with them. They are very interesting people.

I have been meaning to write this review since I returned but have been very busy. I would like to express my pleasure at the wonderful stay I had at this lovely and impeccable cosy home. Rachel and Julian were the perfect hosts, entertaining us with humour and professionalism. Rachel's amazing food is to die for and was varied daily with ample portions. Julian's tours are very informative and interesting and some are quite off the beaten track which I really enjoyed. The rooms are spotlessly clean and fresh and I was lucky enough to have sunlight streaming through my window on the sunny days during my trip which I enjoyed very much. It is also set in a very quiet neighbourhood with alot of nature walks nearby. I would highly recommend staying at Five Ferns. It is within fifteen minutes walk to the quaint town of Westport where I had the pleasure of walking around and absorbing the atmosphere, visiting nearby attractions, chatting with the friendly locals and sampling the pub food that I love so much. You will not regret staying here at all. I felt very welcome, almost like visiting family.

Julian and Rachel could not have been more hospitable, the room was spotless and bed cosy, nice fluffy towels, excellent shower, Breakfast was amazing. Rachel is a pastry chef and her pastry’s are delicious. Would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely book here the next time I’m in Mayo.

Would recommend this B&B! Friendly, clean, comfortable and quaint. Breakfast is enough food to get you through to dinner. Recommend try the pastries homemade by own ( is a pastry chef ). Short walk to downtown, train and buses. Room is very clean and cozy. Recommend book early for your trip as rooms go fast. Stephen

Wonderful B&B located on a quiet street a short drive from Westport with loads of shopping and restaurants. My room was clean and cozy. I loved having tea and gazing out the window after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious. Homemade scones!!!! Thank you to the hosts, Julien and Rachel, for a lovely stay.

Just back from a stay at this superb place. To say that the hosts have given us a most warm welcome is an understatement. They are ever so helpful and efficient. Rachel cooks the most delicious food and the desserts are to die for! She really went out of her way to meet the gastronomic needs and preferences of all of us. And Julian is the perfect guide, very knowledgeable and took us round the most beautiful places. Thank you both for such a wonderful experience! P. S. The rooms are spotlessly clean, super comfortable and so cosy.

We received a very warm welcome and we felt very comfortable. The food was extremely delicious and the garden around the building is very well kept. Julian, who conducted the tour, was very well prepared and explained everything in detail. Thanks Rachel for accommodating our dietary needs and thank you both for such an amazing and relaxing holiday!!
