We stayed for three nights end of December into the new year , we booked the New Year’s Eve package with the evening meal . We have stayed many times over the years at The Giltar and always had a lovely time . The staff are fab , really friendly and helpful , the hotel is spotlessly clean and the food never disappoints, lovely fresh breakfast cooked to order . The New Year’s Eve meal was absolutely delicious ! Great atmosphere aswell . We were expecting a band though and it was a female singer , it was okish but disappointing in my opinion . A band would have been much better and a few guests said the same . The reason I’ve only given it 4 stars is the hotel was very cold , many guests were also complaining about it . We had to ask for an extra heater in the bedroom which did help and by the second day the room was much more comfortable . But the corridor and communal areas were just not warm enough. It’s a shame really but we were told that the hotel had been closed over Christmas and takes time for building to heat up. Nevertheless we had a great time and enjoyed the new year celebrations. We were on a deluxe sea view room , highly recommend a front sea view room if you can , the views are beautiful.

What a lovely hotel. We (two couples) booked afternoon tea during our week in Tenby. What an absolutely treat. Staff and food were excellent, service was attentive but not intrusive. Cannot recommend highly enough

Lovely views , great location. But beware of visitors in your room! We had silver fish and when we brought to the attention of the lady on reception she dismissed it and said they have them a lot! After waking up early to use the toilet and seeing these on the bathroom floor crawling it was very hard to get back to sleep! Spoilt our night away really. The breakfast was delicious, but the downstairs area near the lifts smells of damp.

Superb stay. Everyone was very friendly and uber helpful. An excellent deluxe room with a stunning view. Perfect location.

Recently stayed at the Giltat hotel in Tenby Beautiful building with beautiful furniture and furnishings Staff very approachable We had a beautiful twin sea view rooms, overlooking the south beach Salty restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel which is a lovely place to eat whilst watching the waves Our room was very cozy and had lovely comfy beds A single radiator which could be controlled by the guest which was handy as it was a cold, blustery, rainy day when we arrived, however we still had a great time The hotel has a restaurant and we decided to book a table for that evening The food was delicious Our breakfast was included in the price and there was everything on offer plus table service for hot food Overall a wonderful hotel

We attended as a group for our friends wedding (not as staying guests) but I just wanted to applaud your staff. All of my group said how wonderful the wedding was because of how helpful, friendly and bubbly your staff were. In particular Hannah & Kirsten were stand out members of the team. Thank you for providing us with a great day at our friends wedding! The hotel decor as well was beautiful and so was the outside of the hotel so well kept with all the plants.

What a pleasant stat. The Giltar does what it says in the tin. Breakfast staff were wonderful and breakfast was standard but met expectations. If you can get a bay facing room do it - maybe one of the best views ever had out a hotel window. Parking is nightmarish if Tenby is busy but that was expected so no complaints from us.

The Friends of St David’s Church Trip to Giltar Hotel for Welsh Afternoon Tea. Booking Afternoon Tea for 45 people was so easy with the helpful staff. All enjoyed the delicious afternoon tea in the lovely function room with sea views. Staff were very helpful and attentive. A good experience.

The position of the hotel is perfect,all the staff were very pleasant ,breakfast was excellent. Our room was lovely all in all we had a lovely 4 day stay,and the weather was perfect has well,nothing quite like tenby in the sunshine.

Wer ein renoviertes Zimmer mit Meerblick hat, darf sich vermutlich glücklich sch?tzen. Alle anderen dürfen in einem sehr in die Jahre gekommenen, kleinen Zimmer ohne jeglichem "Plus" wohnen (kein Zahnputzbecher, kein Shampoo, gebrauchte Teetasse wird nicht ausgetauscht...) mit Blick auf den Hinterhofparkplatz. Vom Abendessen erwartete ich nicht viel und das wurde auch so erfüllt. Am Abend gibt es eine Art Wohnzimmer, wo man einen Drink von der Bar nehmen kann. Wenige Sitzpl?tze, immergleiche Musikschleife. Die Getr?nke werden aufs Zimmer gebucht, allerdings ohne Beleg oder Unterschrift. Dementsprechend war die Abrechnung bei Abreise nicht korrekt. Ein seri?ses Hotel l?st das anders! Der Hotelchef ist bei Anliegen der G?ste für alle h?rbar ungehalten, das darf so nicht sein. Die Hotelkategorie und die Au?endarstellung entsprechen nicht der Realit?t. Selbst einfache B&Bs bieten mehr Komfort.
