The place itself isn’t too bad. It’s clean, the facilities are all there (except an iron which I kinda needed). The checkin staff were friendly. You basically checkin at a restaurant over the street and they give you the fob to get in. The WiFi I found was reliable and really quick too. The thing which really spoiled the stay was the noise from other rooms. I read a few people mentioning it on previous reviews, but I assumed this was down to noisy guests. Unfortunately it is bad. My room (207) is in a side corridor with room 208, and most rooms are set like this where there’s a door at the top of the stairs with 2 rooms behind it. You will literally hear everything. I was unfortunate to be beside a guy who was constantly on the phone until midnight each night and he sounded like he was right outside my door, even though he was on his room. There are huge gaps under the doors and the walls seem thin. You could even hear the snoring. Then one night there was a couple directly above me. Again I could hear their conversation, but it was loud when they were walking across the floor…thud thud thud. They got up at 4am (presuming to go for a flight or something) and made no effort to keep noise down. It was like this every night. There’s just constant noise when everyone is back in their rooms. I know the hotel probably can’t do much to stop it, but it is something I wished I’d taken more notice of before booking otherwise I’d have probably looked elsewhere. To go on holiday and not get much rest at night isn’t good. So if you’re a light sleeper, I’d rethink it. You can hear everybody walking up the stairs, even from when they’re at the bottom, because everything creeks and the vibrations travel. You can hear people walking around in their rooms. My room was small; and a little bit cramped at times with all my bags and cases on the floor, but I spent most of the days out and about so I wasn’t too bothered. My window view is literally the back of another apartment building so nothing to be excited about there. It was cheap, so that’s a bonus’s if you’re hear on a tight budget then you can shortlist this. It’s certainly cheaper than the larger hotels along the prom in Douglas. Just being ear plugs or something, because trust me, it’s bad.

Stayed for week of Manx Grand Prix. Room was smaller than I liked. Housekeeping and breakfast needs improvement. We have a Teddy that's travelled the globe with us, Thurs 24th and Tuesday 29th housekeeping need a medal, they placed it in funny situation.i will add photos, Other day's I struggle to think room was touched. Breakfast was complete hit and miss, some item's cold, coffee was good. Bit of rush most mornings. All staff I had contact with were lovely ?? Stairs bit of climb but ok. Price ok but expected more after reading website.
