We loved this stay! So cosy and welcoming. Very dated but we did not mind one bit. Stayed in the 6 bed dorm room and it was the comfiest bed we stayed in, large kitchen and dining area. Bathrooms clean and did the job as well as room being very clean too. Parking on site but also free on the street if needs be as well. Perfect location too. I stayed here with my family about 20 years ago and my parents loved it then too.

I stayed 2 nights in a 6 bed dorm at Glow worm. The location is pretty central in Franz Josef and the service really nice with always available coffee, tea, popcorn and daily soup at 6pm. However the structure is really old and maybe for this reason not the cleanest. The room was really smell and dirty and the bed frame was the loudest ever. All in all I dont think I would come back.

Perfect location for the Mountain View. Love the shared kitchen, plenty of kitchen utensils where you can make literally anything out of the kitchen with the tools. It also serves hot soup after 6pm.

It's a small but well contained place for family. Unique and feels like a place in the great outback. Able to view the mountains from the place

A basic room and a small en-suite but I have to say that we had a great stay, it was friendly, welcoming and exceptionally clean. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful, add in the laundry room, the fully equipped communal kitchen, the communal sitting area, the outside hot tub and the evening soup dish for anyone who wanted it, who could ask for more. It was amazing.

The room was of a reasonable size, featuring a double bed and a single bed. Unfortunately, we looked out into the back yard which was unkept and untidy. Although we knew we would have to share bathrooms and a kitchen, sharing only two showers and two toilets with three other rooms was quite awkward. A big drawback for us was the noise level. The rooms are not soundproof, and one can hear all the conversations going on in other parts of the house. Apart from that, Glow Worm Accommodation is not a bad place to stay.

L'ambiance "auberge de jeunesse" est sympa avec le petit déjeuner partagé et la soupe offerte à 18h00. L'accueil est très sympa et sans chichi. La chambre n'est pas de toute première jeunesse mais la literie est de bonne qualité. La salle de bain est petite mais correcte. Dommage que la wifi ne soit pas au top car c'est devenu un élément incontournable. Le chauffage est difficile à faire fonctionner à cause de faux-contacts. Le parking est très pratique même s'il est un peu trop petit. Le rapport qualité-prix est bon pour un endroit aussi touristique.
