What a treat to stay in a beautiful Graysonside apartment. All thanks for such a warm welcome to the stylish, comfortable and peaceful surrounds. We especially loved the delightful hampers including extra thought to gluten free options, which were so enjoyed and added to the loveliness of our stay. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

This is a fabulous , friendly , quality accommodation and is excellent value. We have stayed here many times as it’s our ‘go to’ place and it has just got even better. The B&B now has beautiful apartments which are of the highest quality and spotlessly clean. A Continental breakfast is provided free but Jan’s cooked breakfast is the best in Christendom( worth the extra). Highly recommended Graysonside.

Fabulous place, the accommodation is 5 star and the attention to detail excellent. We stayed self catering but the items already provided was exceptional, coffee, proper milk, juices, butter,salt and pepper, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, the list was endless and unexpected, The photos on the website can not do this place justice and the views are outstanding. Don’t think that I can use any more adjectives to say how fabulous this place is! Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family

Absolutely wonderful! Lovely hosts, great location, spotlessly clean, very comfortable accommodation. There was everything we needed for self catering, the bed was super comfy and the shower was amazing!! Large car park. Some lovely touches - continental breakfast, milk, water and fruit juice in the fridge and lush toiletries. Would 100% recommend!

Warm welcome, immaculately clean, light and airy apartment beautiful furniture and fittings, excellent kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Large bathroom with walk in shower, lovely bedroom with hugh comfy bed. All this in lovely setting close to Cockermouth.

My husband visited Graysonside with his friend as they were competing at a nearby sailing club over the weekend. I booked this for them and my husband was full of praise for both the accommodation and Jan and asked me to write this review. They had a twin bed apartment which had a everything you could possibly need for a self-catering stay. It was very clean and tidy and looked new looking. Great location. Jan was very helpful and friendly. She dried their sailing gear in front of her Aga overnight. Breakfast was great. He would recommend this to anyone

As a Cumbrian I know how real honest Cumbrian welcomes can be. Warm, welcoming, in fact I’d argue that it’s like meeting that best friend you haven’t seen for years, but you would swear it was only yesterday. No surprise then when visiting here, to find exactly that. Stylish, impeccably clean,homely and spacious apartments, set in a superb location not too far from Cockermouth and nearby Keswick. Jan and Andrew are both perfect hosts and lovely people,their business is arguably one of the best kept secrets in West Cumbria. Fantastic people and nothing was too much trouble at all. If you are reading this review and on the fence, don’t be, look at all the other reviews and book yourselves in, you will not be disappointed.

Just home from a lovely stay at Graysonside guest house..we stayed in the Garden Studio ..absolutely stunning..large rooms ,and everything you need for a self-catering stay ..not that I cooked ..??..we had breakfast in the main house ..which was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly..Jan is an excellent host and makes you feel so welcome ..Will definitely be back ..thankyou for having us ..xx

I have just returned home from a fabulous 4 nights stay at The Woodland Apartment at Graysonside Guest House, Cockermouth. We received a very warm welcome and the apartment, more like an attached bungalow really, was AMAZING. It has everything, and more, that you could possibly want for relaxing luxurious stay. Awaiting us was a lovely smallish (not that small) hamper of some overnight necessities plus more, with a few chocolates, a bottle of Prosecco and vase full of tulips and daffodils. The apartment comprises of two rooms. A good sized kitchen (with kitchen stools for Breakfast) a lovely lounge area and a small dining table and chairs. It felt spacious. It overlooked their courtyard area and the entrance to their large car parking area. This had lots of greenery and hedges with an abundance of blue tits, robins and sparrows which provided our evening and early morning entertainment. The bedroom was HUGE with the biggest bed I have ever seen and that was amazingly comfortable. Plenty of storage space with good bed-sized tables, a wardrobe and a dressing table. The en-suite was superb. A large beautiful walk-in shower, a small but totally adequate sink and lovely towels. The whole place was spotless. You also get the impression that Janette (the owner) really wanted to ensure that you had everything you wanted and it was important to her that you enjoyed your stay. WE MOST CERTAINLY DID. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Graysonside. It is situated on the outskirts of Cockermouth. It is about a 4 to 5 minute drive to Sainsbury's and a large car park for Cockermouth town. In the other direction it is only a 20 minute drive to Buttermere, going via Crummock Water. From the small private road leading up to Graysonide you get a fabulous view of the mountains and for us on arrival there were deep blue skies with snow-capped mountains - PERFECT. You only had to walk about 2 minutes, if that, from the apartment to a gateway where you could view these mountains. The entrance to the apartment is also a small private patio area where a table and chairs were provided if you wanted to sit outside. It was a bit cold for that, but at other times of the year it would have been perfect.

A first class stay at Graysonside. Excellent accommodation located 1.4 miles from Cockermouth town centre. Beautifully kept property with rooms in the main house and separate spacious apartments. Janette the owner is a wonderful host and provides a 5 star breakfast. Excellent location for visiting the Lake District. Would highly recommend a stay at Graysonside.
